We are still in the installation process, but the workers are hard working knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. Jennifer is one of the owners and her honest, upfront and knowledge about ponds and what it would require to install my pond, especially since I had a big hole from a previous attempt (By a family member) is why I chose Backyard Ponds. Jennifer gave me a fair and reasonable price within my budget. She also sat down with me and has educated me on how best to keep my pond eco-friendly and low maintenance. I know that I am going to love there work once the pond is completed. I would highly recommend this company. They do quality work at a reasonable price.

Communication is important and I did not get much communication from the company. Once the appointment was made, I called to confirm and my calls were not returned until the day of the appointment. Since then, I have called the company twice with a question about my bill and I have not received a call back. I will not hire them again because of the lack of customer care. The guy that came out was nice and did good work and explained what he was doing as he cleaned the pond. If the communication was there, I would recommend them but I didn't because of the lack of customer service.

I hired Backyard Ponds to do the work, they did a great job and I would not hesitate to use them again if needed. All the workers and owners were very easy to deal with and quite pleasant. They never missed a show date which in all of the home improvements industry goes without saying is rare.

This company did an excellent job, work-wise. I was NOT happy, however, that the final cost exceeded the original quote that I received by more than $3000. This was attributed to the fact that the company decided to manually dig the pond site instead of subcontracting the work to an excavator --- thus driving up the labor costs and passing this to me!!!!! Not good business practice!!
