B.T. did a fantastic job! The problem turned out to be the way the front door was hanging causing the deadbolt and the handle lock to be very difficult to engage. He fixed/rehung the door and now all works perfectly.

Batyr is more than a locksmith; he is a miracle worker. We have a very old, custom made front door with a doorknob that would not stay on. Several other locksmiths have attempted to fix it with no success. One locksmith in the past told us that the entire door would need to be replaced. Another said it was impossible to fix and refused to look at it. Batyr patiently took the doorknob assembly apart and crafted a solution. He spent two and a half hours doing this and charged only his standard rate. His rate was very reasonable, the doorknob is working again, and the old, custom made doors are once again as functional as they are beautiful.

Bamboo Locksmith called within 5 minutes of my requesting a quote. He apologized for not being able to come immediately (it was 10:15 pm on a Friday night) even though I assured him it was not an emergency. We made an appointment for 9 am on Saturday. He showed up on time (rare for service providers in the Bay Area), and spent 5 hours rekeying our locks. It took so long because the locks were 30 years old, and aren't made any more. We offered to pay more than he had quoted at the start of the job, because the age of the locks made it more difficult, but he refused to accept more than his original quote. The locks even work much better than before Bamboo came. Bamboo is awesome: great customer service, excellent work, friendly, reasonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone. Absolutely great!
