"Connie is correct in that a mask was not worn, however social distancing was performed and it was after things opened again. I should have had a mask on as well (no excuse)The issue with the air conditioner was that it was low on freon and leaking somewhere. I explained that the equipment was over 20 years old and not worth leak searching due to the age of nearly 2 times the average life of the equipment and the cost to do the leak search. It was an R-22 system which they don't even make anymore. I gave her two options Replace the equipment or put freon in and see how long it last. We can not guarantee a leaking system as we have no idea how long the freon will last and I told her this. To put this in perspective let's say you have a radiator in your car leaking water and you stop at the mechanics shop. He tells you you need a new radiator but you choose to just have water put in the radiator for now and take your chances getting home. The mechanics shop can not guarantee that the water he put in will even last long enough to make it to the next red light much less 30 days. As far as the price not being fair. R-22 is very expensive as they don't make it anymore. The rating of 3 is really unfair due everything being explained before the work was performed."
