We hired Barnes Painting to paint the entire interior (walls, ceilings, and woodwork) of a home we recently purchased in Sacramento. The work also involved patching drywall. We were on tight schedule and Arland quickly responded to our request for an estimate, fitted our job in, and finished the work ahead of the estimated completion date. Arland and his crew were punctual, efficient, and courteous. They were meticulous in their work and cleaned up the site when the painting was done. The results were outstanding and we highly recommend Barnes Painting.

Arland and his team did a fantastic job. We are very pleased with the exterior painting of our house and large patio cover. They were very easy to work with, paid attention to detail, did some 'extras' without charging more, asked clarifying questions along the way - rather than just assuming, very professional and cleaned up everyday!!! We decided to change the color of the garage door the day after they finished. They came out the very next day and painted it for a very small charge! Who does that anymore? Barnes Painting does!!! We highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again!

I was so pleased to get a response to paint my gazebo. I tried numerous times to find someone to paint but got no responses as I am sure they were too busy to take on my small project. As a result, tried again in January. Barnes responded quickly and took on the project. Some of the boards were already soft so they had to be replaced but hope that it will work for a year or two. Next time will have to have all the top boards replaced but will definitely call them again for the next painting job.

Barnes was hired to paint all doors and frames in the house, but specifically to repair/repaint the front door in which the paint had bubbled. During the walk-through for the estimate I relayed my thought that the bubbling was either caused by the door not being properly prepped or that the paint was inadequate and showed that other doors on the same street were painted the same dark color without issue. Barnes completed the project in two days and promptly cashed my check. Within two hours after Barnes completion of painting, the front door began to bubble again but worse than when he began the project. I immediately notified Barnes with photos and received a response that he could return the following week which was important as he knew I had a tight time-frame for completion. Shortly thereafter he responded stating that the door would need to be stripped and repainted which is what I contracted for. When the following week began and I had not heard from Barnes, I inquired as to when he could return, agreeing that the door needed to be stripped and repainted. I offered in the alternative that if he didn't have time to complete the job correctly that he could refund the fees paid for that portion of the work. Barnes responded that he completed the contract as bid and stripping the door would be under a new contract. This response was quite perplexing as I contracted to repair and repaint the door eliminating all defects/bubbles which simply did not occur. Barnes held himself out to be a painting expert and thus it was incumbent upon him to have the expertise to assess the job correctly and have the knowledge to perform the contract. This he did not do. So, while Barnes was a nice man, if you want defects, bubbles and then failure to return to repair a situation that he made worse - then Barnes is the contractor for you. Personally, I want a hassle-free contractor who fulfills the contract that he was for paid to do. PS, I have photos of the door reflecting the defects/bubbles after Barnes completion of the project for any one who wishes to review prior to entering into a contract. Triciawkb@sbcglobal.net

Barnes Painting was very professional, on time, did a very good job and was very reasonably priced. He also was very mateculous, careful of doing an excellent jog. I highly recommend him and the work that he does. I felt he was very trustworthy and gave excellent value for the job he did and took pride in doing an excellent job.

They did an excellent job for us, everything was done in a timely fashion. Cleaned up after themselves, very professional. Everything was done perfectly. They helped showing us our different options on paint colors to make sure we were satisfied.
