Raymond Barro is very good. His cal helped me getting my kitchen remodel permit. He finished the whole thing before his promised date&time. I'm very satisfied. My only complain is that he's too busy to take calls. So prepare everything, be patient and he'll do his job and get back to you.

I have a 1960 California ranch style house and wanted advice on a seismic retrofit. Ray inspected the crawl space and home and came up with a structual plan based on a detailed stress analysis. He was excellant in explaining the details of what needed to be fixed and why. Overall, I think he did a great job.

The structural engineer examined the planned renovation area and gave me his ideas and advices. After sending me the first proposal, he responded to my alternative plan and sent me the second proposal as I requested. The initial consultation fees was reasonable for his professional services.
