He charged me to start a warranty claim but provided nothing. It seemed like he was trying to make as much money for the little work that he did.

"Not sure if he is mistaking us for another company. We innately tired to do a remote service call to check the status of his system (cheaper option), but it had not communicated in 3 years. With approval we followed up with a onsite service call and restored his communication. We also determined that his system was still producing electricity. We observed one his modules had broken glass and suggested trying to get a warranty replacement on it. We let him know that there would be a fee to deal with the manufacture and get the claim processed regardless of approval. He initially told us to proceed but then asked us not to. Once the data was uploaded from the inverter that was no online we noticed that he also had a optimizer/module that had stopped working 5+ years ago and that half of his system is not working. He has not authorized us to proceed with any of his warranty claims."
