A flooded basement is far from being a "fun" renovation project. Fortunately, Basement Innovations made the process incredibly easy and affordable. From the estimate (I got estimates from three companies) to the work that was done today, everyone was professional, friendly, on-time, and efficient! My basement waterproofing project (trench, drain, window-well drain, wall wrap, sump pump, and concrete) was finished in one day. I have already recommended this company to a handful of friends, and highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of this service!

These guys did a great job. Installed the French drain and two sump pumps in 6 hours. Left the place cleaner then they found it.

I solicited three bids from Home Advisor Companies. Basement Innovations had the same price as one other company. They all dug the trench, put in a drainage pipe and sump pump, but BI added a membrane on the wall that appealed to me for our particular problem. They showed up on time, finished in less than half a day, and cleaned up. I would recommend them to anyone.

The estimate included work that ended up not needing to be done, so the final bill was reduced-they only charged for the work they performed. It was quick, efficient and I can immediately tell the difference!

Fabian was very professional and courteous. He and his crew showed up on time. They added insulation to our attic that will make our heating and cooling more efficient. They left our place clean. Their price is reasonable, and they arrived on time as scheduled. The crew was professional and gave me a good explanation on what they were doing. After insulation, we can feel significant difference at the upper floor during hot summer days. We are very happy with our investment. Although the insulation was performed at the attic, I noticed accumulation of dust at the ground floor and I had to go to the basemen in order not to inhale too much of it. But I guess this is almost inevitable situation.

As with any large renovation/construction work, I got 3-4 quotes before committing to the work. Basement Innovations came back to me with a very competitive quote, but what really made me choose them was their willingness to work with me to get some additional things done in the basement (patching up some cracks and installing a new dryer exhaust). Jay took the time to explain everything to me, and the extent of the work that would be done. Work was performed very quickly and in a very professional manner. I am extremely satisfied with the work!

For a year whenever we had a heavy rain I noticed rain seeping beneath the basement shower. It was a fiberglass shower stall that was lifted off the floor just a little bit. I would mop it up and it wouldn't cause any large problems. We decided it was time to have this fixed since it seemed to be getting worse. I got three estimates and theirs was the best for the job. The team removed the shower stall to put in a drain along one whole wall of my house. Thankfully the rest of the wall is in an unfinished portion of the basement so it didn't affect any of the finished portion other than the shower in the bathroom. They came on time and worked quickly. They were done before the estimated time and left the basement clean. For the past 15 days we have had rain every single day. Sometimes heavy, sometimes light but I have been watching the basement and there isn't any moisture coming in at all. They definitely did a great job. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to my friends.

We hired Basement Innovations back in Nov 2013 to install a sump pump at my parents' house. This past winter season, when it was raining heavily, I asked my parents how the sump pump was doing. My dad gave me a long, deep look as he said: "We are grateful for it every day of the week!" Basement Innovations really did a great job for us, and they took care of the flooding issue my parents had struggled with for years. Initially, we got quotes from several other companies, but the quote from Basement Innovations was the most reasonable and responsive to our needs (other companies looked around, gave us decent quotes, and also told us about everything else that was wrong with our basement and improvements we needed to consider - or else). What prompted us to look into installing a sump pump were constant rains that kept flooding my parents' basement. Basement Innovations ended up installing a sump pump along with a water trek system, a battery backup pump, and a well unit. Thankfully, with all of these improvements, my parents have gone through several years of dryness now.

After a few years of living in our house we finally realized that water was seeping in to our basement and soaking the carpet. It was during a heavy period of spring rain, so many companies were dealing with a backlog of business. It took a while, but we finally had a few companies come and take a look at our situation. When we called Basement Innovations, Jay insisted that he be the last company that come and look at our house because - he said - he would give us the real assessment and resolution. In the end, all the companies made the same recommendation, but Jay was the only one to walk around the house with a hose and really make a determination as to where the water was coming in from and what would be the best solution for us. It was great to have someone come in and do some research as well as educate us on the problems and possible solutions. I would highly recommend calling Basement Innovations for honest and will provide you quality results.

The company replaced the whole waterproofing system of the basement and installed two pumps, additional drain from the bottom of the basement stairs, drain pipes from the basement windows, higher walls of basement window "pits". It was a big job - the crew was working the whole day until pretty late. They were efficient, professional and helped with a couple of additional minor requests. Now I do not have to worry about the wet basement corner or a potential flooding.

I had a leak in my basement wall from a crack that was previously repaired years ago with epoxy. Basement Innovations recommended a repair using a method that would be a permanent solution to address the leak. Since the repair a couple years ago our basement has been completely dry.

Basement Technologies was one of 3 waterproofing companies I received quotes from. My primary contact was Mike Doolittle. I chose BT because of their excellent communication and response times. Every time I had a question for Mike he promptly answered it via phone or email. His response time and consistency was the best of the 3 companies I solicited. BT's pricing also came in slightly less than the rest of the competitors. The job itself was very uneventful. The crew was great and worked extremely fast. They started at 0800 and were finished by 1300. My only complaints are: I was told they would set up a vacuum/suction fan that would draw out most of the dust caused by the jackhammering. They never set up this fan and the basement was left extremely dusty. Luckily I hung plastic sheeting over the doors to the other rooms so the dust was contained within the work area. Also I was told they would only take about 3 feet of drywall off and 2-3 feet of framing off. They actually take drywall and framing off up to the ground level which in my house was almost 6 feet. This left me with more drywall work than I was anticipating. About 2 weeks after the job I was painting my new walls and noticed a small hairline crack in the concrete slab. This crack was located in a corner where they had dug the trench. It was about 18" long and ran diagonally from one trench to the other, essentially cutting off a corner of my slab. I took pictures and sent them to Mike in an email. I asked about the severity of the crack and what could be done about it. I never heard back from that email. I took the pictures to the local hardware store where the manager told me it didn't look like a big deal and had me fill the crack with cement crack filler. In closing, I am satisfied with the work, price, and scheduling of Basement Technologies. If I had to do it again I would probably have hired a firm that finishes all the way to hung and sanded drywall. Finding a drywall contractor to repair the damage they left behind was more expensive than I had anticipated.
