I have fought and tried getting these people to my home to finish there work and this is what their work looks like in less than a year They say they won?t come because I haven?t paid them the rest of what I owe them but they never finished and was trying to charge me for stuff That they didn?t do. They were supposed to come back a million times I have tried to be patient and when I called the regional office they said they would send someone then canceled it stating because I never paid but they never finished I have there tools including a rotary jack and all the supplies they left because they were supposed to come back and finish it and never did I have a whole section of my house they still haven?t finished. They never dug the ditch the pipe that goes to the one sump pump is laying on top of the ground not in no ditch They never leveled it off like they were supposed to and because the water hasn?t been goi g out the jacks they put in are sinking and my house is worse than before

I meet with Mike C. to obtain a quote to address water leakage into the basement from rain and foundation issues caused by years of water inundation. Also, to get a quote to seal up the crawl space. (The house has a half-basement.) He arrived early in a clean company vehicle and in uniform. Very pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and down-to-earth. His inspection of the areas of concern took some time because he was so very thorough. Once completed with the inspection, he presented various options, and we discussed each option. Seems his concern was more about what was best for my situation rather than profit. I really appreciated that. I predict the construction phase will be very good; based upon the interaction with Mike C.

They will change the contract, promise a refund and never send it. They also will not respond to inquiries. Promised call backs that never happen. Promised call from manager, never received. We had the work done in May and they are still keeping my money as of August. If they change the work order do not pay the full amount unless you get a new contract. I made the mistake of trusting them.

Job was drug out and not completed as quoted at all. Much of the lawn has been left tore up and has large sink holes. Finished installed correction joists remain un tightened for months now. After spending over $17,000 we are left with a mess and incomplete job from 4 months ago!

I wish there was a way to leave negative stars. I would recommend Basement Authority of WV to no one. The contract including raising the steps adjacent to the driveway, closing the gap between steps and house. They DIDN'T. They were supposed to raise the walkway and cover mortar marks left from settling. They DIDN'T. What they did do was partially drill holes in the walkway and leave them unfilled, Nothing pumped in to level the sidewalk because they said their was another concrete plate underneath. My front sidewalk is now broken into sections, some rising, some settling. Its now a hazard for tripping and I have to have it replace. Two major things from the contract that was NOT done. The wonder polymer is actually styrofoam and we're still cleaning up from the mess left behind in driveway and adjacent garden. What a waste of $5.000.00 I now have to pay to GreenSky. WV took advantage of an elderly woman living alone. I plan to file a complaint with WV's consumer protection.

Internal drain tile systems with advanced sump pumps were installed in two basements. They also added the wall coverings to channel any wall leaks to the system. It works perfectly! The employees of Basement Systems are amazing - everyone is professional and helpful. The work was completed quickly. They cleaned up the job site. My basements were a lost cause - now they are restored and I can use them again. Thanks!

It was a pleasure to have them advise me on my home in Berkeley Springs, WV. The original estimate was not changed due to my house having an ancient type of foundation that precluded them from cutting into the cement floor for the tile drains. The alternative was sheeting applied to the walls with a "guttering" type baseboard that collects the water and gravity drains it to the sump pump. " hollow plastic baseboard is installed along the base of basement walls to form a drainage channel that directs water to a sump pump system. A baseboard-type drainage system is sometimes recommended when the basement slab is too thin to accommodate a French Drain." It cost $5000 to install the entire drainage system and sump pump in 2017. Works so well no moisture for the past 2 years. Had maintenance done on original work for $178 in 7/2019. I hope it lasts for years to come.

They were very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The thing that i like the most is that they showed up on time. they left the basement leak and since then I had no problem the water in the basement. They have a transferable lifetime warranty. And I would not hesitate to recommend them.

It went pretty well. Just one glitch, which was resolved by borrowing a longer ladder. Not the installers fault, as they had not been informed as to the height of our roof. Once they got to the house they set right to work and worked very hard until eight o'clock at night to finish the job. The only other minor issue involved hiring an electrician for the fan, as head office could not tell me when in the process his services would be required. It would be useful for future customers to know that. I will recommend Basement Systems to anyone who needs their services.

This company was outstanding to work with. They informed me that what they were doing would not cure the problem but it would divert the water into the drainage system. They went above what they told me they would do. They told me they had to dig a hole in the front lawn for the water to drain into but the foreman said he would not mess up the fron lawn and he hand dug 6' deep to connect to the storm drainage system. The basement is now dry as a bone now. I purchased another home in the area a couple of years later and called the company to fix the basement in that house and was told they could not work in this area now. I was very disappointed because they truly do outstanding work.
