Addition to Existing Structure Building Service

We hired Bauer Homes Inc to build and install a linear vent free fireplace. for $11,160 when the work was finished and we first used the fireplace the wall above the fireplace cracked and opened a long vertical crack . The wall surface when the fireplace was on was to hot to touch I checked the temperature of the wall above the fireplace opening after leaving it on for 15 minutes it was over 300 degrees.. We felt it unsafe to use the fireplace. We contacted Mr. Bauer to evaluate the problem he did come to our house and confirmed that changes needed to be done and proposed a solution. When I tried calling him back over seventeen times and sent text messages over several weeks time he did not answer or ever respond. We then had to hire another contractor to remove the fireplace and wall structure around it. That cost us $2,900. We had an expensive time consuming very unsatisfactory experience with Bauer Homes Inc.
