I would like to thank John for his outstanding customer service. He was the first to respond to my issue with our gas dryer. Once I explained the issue with the install, he assured me that it would be fixable. John called after his last job of the day and came to the rescue. He repaired the install and was more than courteous, and knowledgeable about the process. He was done in under an hour. Unfortunately, we the homeowners must have moved the flange in the floor to the gas connection, The next morning we woke to the smell of gas. I called NW Natural Gas they came out and inspected the issue. I then called John to see if he could help us again. If he could not do the job then would he recommend someone that could. At 7:35 am he answered his phone and would give me a call back to work us into his schedule. By 9 am he was headed to our home. By 10 am he had fixed the problem and I was calling NW Natural Gas to turn our line back on. As a courteous John called at 4:15 pm to see how things were going. New Gas Dryer running, no more gas leak and a positive turn around from the frantic start to the day. I would highly recommend John and his team at Baxter Rooter Drain Services. In fact, they will be our go-to Service call in the future. Thank you again John for setting everything straight with our new gas dryer.

Another company cancelled 30 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment, and refused to even schedule a later appointment on any day. I had just returned from camping and had not hot water. Baxter's Rooter and Drain Services folks were clear across town when I called them, but they were over in an hour, and replaced my old water heater with a new one in just two hours. Workers were friendly and professional.

My water heater stopped working. They came out within the first hour I called and quickly diagnosed a simple problem, then didn’t charge because it was so simple. Excellent customer service. They came and fixed the problem before any of the other 4 companies I called even returned my message.

Drain Clog or Blockage Clearing
My husband and I had a drain pipe collapse, causing our basement to flood. We were visiting family 3,000 miles away, and needed an emergency repair. Midway through, the project manager abruptly left the company. Sensing a red flag, we asked Baxters to wait until we returned to Oregon, but they insisted upon completing the project as soon as possible. We paid for the work, despite our misgivings. After our return, we learned the situation was worse than we thought. Among the many issues: Our contract called for the installation of a solid, ABS sewer-grade pipe. Instead, Baxters put in a soft, flexible French drain pipe. The new pipe lacks a slope, proper depth, and sufficient gravel bedding (another violation of contract). As a result, water cannot flow downward out of our foundation and off our property. The contract also called for saw cuts to remove the concrete above the old pipe. Instead, Baxters jackhammered without saw cuts, stressing the surrounding floor and causing jagged edges. New concrete wasn't smoothed or blended properly. We cant install new flooring on the uneven surface. Baxters connected the new pipe to a clogged stormwater drain in the right-of-way outside, telling us our municipality needed to unplug it. Both the City and the County have since told us that everything in the right-of-way is the homeowners responsibility and therefore the contractors job to unclog.Baxters failed to pull a permit and call for an inspection. The City and the County require a backflow valve and ground-level surface access to the drain which were not installed. Workers used our kitchen and bathroom towels as cleaning rags, and our basement vacuum cleaner to mop up water. All are ruined. Our neighbor also reported he saw one person throw his lunch in our front yard. No dust mitigation took place. Concrete dust coated everything in the basement, the garage, the stairs...and filtered out of ceiling vents into our living room and hallway. Baxters abandoned trash, equipment, and supplies in our garage, where they still sit today. The only thing keeping our basement from flooding again is a sump pump removing water on wet days. Meanwhile, Baxters still owes us a refund for a $2,200 down payment for a separate PEX Pipe project that we cancelled before any work started. We have tried to communicate, but Baxter continues to stall, delay, and stonewall us. With no resolution in sight, we are now forced to take our complaint to the state licensing board, the Better Business Bureau, and the City. Homeowner Beware!

Just hired this crew to address a series of plumbing issues. Crawl space water. Sump pump. Clogged drains. Leaking faucets. They came right away. Did inspection. Checked all the faucets. Cleaned out the drains in four bathrooms, installed the sump, and fixed a couple of leaky faucets. A long day for them but they did it quickly and with professionalism. This is a small shop, not a robo plumber group. You get the owner and his two co workers. These guys have have a lot of experience between them - from younger plumber to plumber that has been working since the early 1980s. They work great as a team. Their low overhead means you are paying for plumbers to do their job.... not a call center or advertisement section. Totally would hire them again.

Even though my water heater problem was not an emergency Baxter's treated it like it was! They called me within probably seconds of my project request and were at my house within hours, after 6pm! Within 24 hours I have a new water heater installed, absolutely amazing. Very friendly technicians who kept me in the loop and anticipated my questions before I could even ask them. I appreciate that they spoke with me directly and honestly without trying to only deal with my husband. Truly a better experience than I expected and I already plan to hire them for a future bathroom project.

Baxters Rooter and Drain Services advertises residential pump installs. They are not prepared for this to advertise it. They have taken a $2000.00 deposit and have not yet returned a phone call. I am sorry to say that Trenton is a nice guy but has failed what he committed to. it has been since 11/23/20 when first contact was made without completion of original project. Disappointed to say the least. 1/15/21.
