The contractor talked way too much! When talking he quit working!!! A big No-No !!!! He worked very slowly! Not as respectful as he should have been with the home owners brand new floors, did not cover and protect them while working. Because of this the new flooring was damaged. Very upset by this. Unprofessional and this is why?. Ask me how old I was, which had nothing to do with the work that he was asked to do. Secondly, because he said he did not have the **cube** with him that he would use with his phone to process a credit card payment, he actually told me I could right down my credit card number and give it to him. He said he would run it when he located his **cube**. I told him absolutely not!! The longer he was in my house, the more upset and uncomfortable I became. I just wanted him out of my house at that point. I would not recommend him at all!

Philip Beck was awesome. So personal an amazing service provider to work with. We had him install a gas cook top (we were switching from electric). His attention to detail and pride in his work were exactly what we were hoping for. He definitely goes the extra mile! Our cooktop, since we were replacing an existing one, was a bit smaller than the existing hole in the counter top. Philip went to his truck, grabbed some stainless steal that he had on hand and cut custom trim so that our cook top fit just right. Incredible! I can't wait for the next project we have at the house that is a bit beyond my comfort zone so that we can experience his great service again. Additionally, Philip's communication exceeded expectations when it came to answering questions, clearly defining pricing, and scheduling the appointment. We were never wondering what was going to happen because Philip addressed all of our questions and/or concerns in advance! If you made it this far in the review, know this, your search for a great craftsman (handyman) is over, this is your guy. Give Philip a call, he is fantastic!

Phillip responded quickly and was able to come out to pull the gas line from an existing line to connect a new gas stove. He also graciously offered to install a new dishwasher as well and did a fine job. Great handyman with some good jokes to boot. Would hire again.

I hired Beck to repair my dragging storm door. He used a 2x4 and pushed up underneath the door. It wasn t dragging when he left ($88) but was dragging again by next day.

Very pleasant quick to respond. Did exactly what we asked him to do.

I attempted to replace my back door with French doors but couldn t get them to square. Reached out for a handyman and heard back from Phillip right away. His work was professional and his attention to detail was top notch. I would definitely call Phillip again.

What a great experience! Had a lot of trouble with a big box store and their lack of urgency, so I came to HomeAdvisor. Mr. Beck got back to me quickly, and came out that same day and completed the job (installing a new dishwasher). He was friendly and outgoing, and that made the rest of the nonsense we had dealt with for weeks seem like less of a big deal. So relieved to have it installed quickly and correctly. We will absolutely hire him again for our next project! Highly recommend!

Fast and efficient

Very quick service in a pinch.

A fair price and he did on the work on a weekend. We had been without a range/oven for two weeks and it meant a lot to us to get the work done that quickly.

Mr Beck was very professional and knew his way around a kitchen sink. He was very polite, communicated as he was working. He gave me a time for the project he was hired for and that was the time it took. I also hired him for power wash. Mr Beck and very professional and courteous. He made my house look brand new. I have a few more projects I want completed and when I m ready, Mr Beck will be the person I call. Thank you Mr Beck!!

Philip arrived on time for our job. He was very respectful and personable. Philip ran into some hiccups with our older home and things not being "standard" as they are now. He never hesitated got the material he needed and continued on with the job. Our french doors turned out phenomenal and we love them so much !
