Joe responded to my ad that was very specific for door installation and trim work. He is a nice guy but he is not a carpenter and unfortunately for me, I did not fully realize the magnitude of the damage being done until the third day he was working. He cut doors to fit but they drag on the carpet flooring so they have to be cut again. The casing and trim work all has to be removed, repurchased, and reinstalled. He cut pieces too short and then put wood filler (not even cleanly) to try and fill in gaps that were at least a half an inch wide. He attempted to cover a basement pole and the pieces were not cut evenly, gaps between wood, not attached and spins, he cut tons of barn wood that did not need to be cut, this project alone wasted over $300 in barn wood product. He started installing white shiplap vertically even though I told him three times that it was to be horizontal. That project had to be reworked due to product waste and excess costs now. He damaged items that were not related to the project including: the wooden stair nose at the top of my stairs which has to be replaced, gouged chunks in the newly finished basement ceiling and wall, hole in the back of a brand new sectional couch (appears to have been punctured with a wood or trim piece). I requested his liability insurance via text and via email and did not receive a response.

He arrived when he said and made it work. Item is repaired. Appreciated the fast turn around.
