"We are very sorry for this incident. As the contract states, we are not responsible for irrigation lines or any other unmarked privately owned underground system. This is the contract that you and every other of our customers sign and agree to. The main reason we don't fix those irrigation lines is that we are not licensed or insured to work on irrigation systems. If we were to damage your system while trying to repair it, we would be in a lot of trouble. Their are specific contractors for that type of work. And the reason fence companies, including us, don't make themselves responsible for irrigation lines, is the fact that they are not marked and nobody really knows where exactly it is that they are. We dig the holes for the posts without knowing what lies beneath. Essentially, we dig blind, with the exception of power, cable, gas, and telephone lines that are marked prior to us coming in for the installation. Again, we are very sorry about the situation. We strive to be the best at what we do, but sometimes things like this may happen and customers may not agree with the contract conditions, but that's mostly because they don't really understand the legalities behind those conditions. We were not trying to be difficult, we were just trying to protect both you and ourselves. We hope that other than that, you are happy with your new fence! Thank you again for your business!"
