"We appreciate the feedback and the sharing of thoughts and feelings from all of our customers. There were several delays, first starting off that it snowed into April which set back our work each day we lost work due to inclement weather. We also lost days of work due to rain, which happens every spring time. The biggest factor that came into play was the tornado/micro burst storm that blew through CT. This storm caused catastrophic damage in many towns. Emergency services had to be done to secure homes that were badly damaged by this storm. The added work and the loss of available crews who responded to this storm caused us and most other companies severe delays in our scheduled work. We communicated this to our customers, we respond to emails and other correspondence usually within a 24 hour period of time. There were a few delayed responses due to the craziness in the industry at this time. Also, to make a clarification this contract was actually for the side of the house, side of garage and another smaller triangular area of siding, not just one side. Lastly, we discuss and cover all of these possible delays in our contract. Each and every customer has the opportunity to ask for more details regarding these types of delays. Finally, yes, there were several delays on this particular job as explained above. We only employ quality professionals to do our work, we never hire off the street or sub par workers. Sadly this job did not go as we had hoped for, the customer has exercised their right to cancel."
"We appreciate all of our customers feedback. We hope we were able to satisfy your needs!"
"We wanted to take the opportunity and respond to this customers comments. We offered and provided the best quality siding and accessories on the market, at a very fair rate...ie the reason this customer chose our company. The job was started slightly later than expected due to weather delays. The project was started and completed very much on target to what we offered and had planned for. The gutters were installed at the very next available date. All of our work is done in the order of the sale. There was one issue with this entire job and it was one pair of shutters. I have to date ordered four different brands of shutters to fit this one window that posed a challenge to us due to its size once the window casings were installed. I did in fact make a mistake in estimating the size of this pair of shutters. After ordering four different pair of shutters I have found none of them match the newly installed shutters. We have credited this customer $200.00 for a $55.00 pair of shutters for the inconvenience and any aggravation involved regarding this situation. This was and still is the only item this customer has complained about. The quality of our work is definitely a 5 star, certainly not the 2 star given. Value for the money of a 2 star is inaccurate in our opinion which we are basing off of the known facts of costs involved in this type of project. I wish there was a better solution to this matter, but after trying several different manufacturers we cannot find a pair of shutters to match what we installed on this home."
"As always we appreciate the feedback of our customers. In an effort to answer all of this customers comments and supply all of our potential customers with some basic truths we will begin with this customers first comment. We use the same sales tactics that all sales people use. We approach every situation on a custom basis trying to make sure we accommodate all of our customers needs. We discussed this project with the homeowners, supplied them with all of the information they could ask for. We then provided them with an extremely competitive price using a great quality product. In doing so, we were awarded this job. No other tactics were used aside from those. We do not lie to our customers, there is no point in doing so. At some point everything comes out in the open when you lie to a client. The customer is more than likely referring to information that was given to us, then passed onto the homeowners. If we are given false information without knowing that it is false we cannot circumvent the end result. We have passed along information as we always do and will continue to do. We feel communication is key in business. False information was shared and unfortunately looked at like we have been lying to our homeowners when in fact we were lied to. In an effort to address the stated delays; as anyone who lives in CT knows we had snow almost into April and a very rainy season in both April and most of May. As with the entire home improvement industry we are very much effected by the weather. During this spring we lost almost a full month of production. All of our jobs are produced in the order they are sold. This customer is no different. Every job we sold we had delays in starting. We make sure that our contracts state this very thing, we are not liable or responsible for weather related delays. All customers are made aware of this fact. As for the pace of the production of this job. It is true that this job is taking a fair amount longer to complete then anticipated. We assigned this customers job to a sider that we have known for over 30 yrs. All along trusting that he would do right by our company and our customer. His crew is the same as almost all crews, there are two guys on his crew. Unfortunately we put our faith and trust in him and he totally let us down and in turn our customer. He worked alone almost the entire time creating unnecessary delays. We discussed his lack of help a multitude of times, always getting the same result, he continued to work alone. Needless to say he no longer works with our company. We cannot and will not allow for anyone, no crew, no employee, associate or others impede our performance. We have apologized to our customer many times for this delay as well as for the weather delays in which we cannot control. Again our apologies go out to our customer. We have taken the proper and responsible steps and have relieved this crew of their duties in working with our company."
"We appreciate feedback from all of our customers. We only wish people would take into consideration all aspects of the project. We explain and have it clearly stated on all of our contracts/agreements that we will not and cannot be held responsible for issues such as inclement weather, product availability, delivery of product - since we have zero control over these items. This particular customer is stating these things based on weather delays dating back and through the months of April and May of 2017. We, as everyone else has, lost more than a month due to inclement weather. The project outlined herein was a siding installation. Aside from weather delays and delays on jobs sold before this particular customers job, this job was produced in the order it was sold. When the job started there were zero delays. The workers were there everyday, worked all day and finished the work within the specified allotted time. There were and are NO ISSUES with the siding installation. We have a door issue that we are dealing with that appears to be a manufacturers defect. We have honored our pledge to our customer and am working on a replacement door for this gentleman."
