My experience with Benjamin has been absolutely horrible. I hired him to resolve some basement flooding a couple months ago. He brought fans that were absolutely filthy and stank and sprayed some chemicals that honestly smelled worse than the sewage and took weeks to go away. When I first hired him, he and his associate tried to pressure me into signing a direct deposit form for the insurance company. Benjamin became increasingly agitated when I politely refused to sign it (at the advice from my insurance adjuster). It turns out, he submitted an invoice to my insurance company for work that I did not approve. I asked him to redo the invoice to reflect the work that was actually done, which he did, but he acted like he was doing me a favor in submitting an accurate invoice. Very sketchy and unprofessional. The saga continues so my insurance company was very late with the payment, and they ended up sending the check to the wrong address twice. I offered to pay Benjamin with my credit card several times so we could both move on with our lives, but he refused to accept it and wanted to wait for $5000 cash payment. (Not accepting credit cards when you are dealing with thousands of dollars also felt sketchy and like another serious red flag that something is wrong with this company.) While the insurance was taking forever, he called me repeatedly while I was at work to yell at me. He even showed up to my house unannounced to ask for his money. When I finally received the payment from the insurance company, I paid him in full. The following day, on my wedding anniversary, while I was on my first vacation in three years he texts me to ask me about how I'd like to resolve the â 20% late fees / attorney charges Well, that about ruined my day. This man appears to be taking legal action against me to attempt to swindle $1000 from me. I did some internet searching and found a recent review on Angie's List that appears to explain a lot about his pattern of behavior and why he was so upset that I didn't sign the direct deposit form (so he could not commit insurance fraud). If you value your time, money, and sanity, I highly recommend to avoid this company at all costs!! God Bless.
