I'm Roger Bennett, owner of Bennett Woods and have been a hardwood flooring contractor in the Salt Lake City area since January of 1995. After having multiple crews, I found I lost the enjoyment of working with wood and control over jobs. Now I work mostly alone, sometimes using a helper to install hardwood floors but always sanding and finishing jobs myself. Wood floors are my passion. I am a full-service wood flooring contractor and am able to handle any job. I offer all different species and grades of wood, custom or pre-finished, engineered or solid. Straight install, custom inlays or patterns are available. With over 20 years of experience, and using the latest equipment, Bennett Woods is the right choice for your wood flooring needs. Roger did an excellent job refinishing our hard wood floor. I love that he does the bidding and then does the work himself. He is easy to work with. Roger was awesome. He was honest about what he would recommend for my maple floors. I thought they could be stained darker, but he said they would not take the stain properly and advised me against it. He was so knowledgeable about wood floors I went with his recommendation and just had them sanded and sealed. It turned out beautifully.

Roger was friendly, showed up on time and did the job for the amount of the bid. Overall the floors look great. The second coat of poly was a little sloppy and there are some waves that could have been buffed out. At face value the floors look awesome, a closer look reveals some flaws. A pleasant experience at a great value.

This process was much easier that I anticipated. Roger gave us a free estimate - he was able to come to our home out of hours to do this and arrived exactly when he said he would. He gave us a great quote, gave us a lot of information about what was involved and made us feel very comfortable. Having done our research and received other quotes we booked him on the spot. The dirty, worn oak floors in our living room now look beautiful. And the dust was a non issue, just as Roger promised. The final cost was exactly as quoted. It was SO worth it and has really changed the aesthetics of our room. I absolutely would recommend Bennett Woods!
