Tommy and his team did a great job. The materials and craftsmanship were outstanding. I highly recommend Bent Palm for any deck project. Thank you Tommy and the Bent Palm team.

Our backyard pool built by Bent Palm was recently completed and we couldnâ t be any happier! My husband and I had wanted to build a pool for years, so when we were finally ready to do it, we wanted something nice. I interviewed several builders before hiring Bent Palm. Bent Palm stood out to me for several reasons. First, the owner, Tommy Griest, spent a long time patiently answering all our questions and we were impressed by his expertise and honesty. He clearly has years of experience and is just a pleasant Tommy spent a lot of time working out the design details for our pool and patio, which was a little complicated due to the dimensions of our property. He did not charge us for working out multiple versions of the design, as other builders were going to do. We made several modifications and Tommy worked with us to make sure we stayed within our budget. Whereas other pool builders seemed more concerned with charging us as much as they could, Tommyâ s main concern was that we would be happy with the final product. We stayed within the budget and ended up getting a far superior product than I ever thought we could afford! Let me tell you, we are beyond thrilled with not only our pool, but also our patio and deck, which were also designed and installed by Bent Palm. Never having owned a pool before, we had no idea what would look good but Tommy gave us some great ideas and suggestions based on his experience to help guide our decisions. He earned our trust along the way and all of his installers and tradespeople were top-notch. If you are looking to build a pool, look no further â Bent Palm is the best in the business. We look forward to spending long days lounging around our beautiful new swimming pool! Thank you, Tommy!

Bent Palm (BP) fulfilled their contractual obligations on 11 March. They finished the 25ftx10ft patio/porch project and collected the final check on 31 March. A project that began in October 2019, was suppose to take 2/4 weeks and ended up taking more than five months. Initially BP finished the work mid-November and the patio/porch failed its final inspection on 20 November. On 30 November the owner of BP and the project lead came out to the house to discuss how to proceed with the project and air out any concerns. At this point the patio they had built had sunk into the ground and metal supports were exposed. Many of the tiles were unstable and loose and it was a safety hazard. It stayed that way until late February 2020. In December we knew it was the holiday season so my wife and I were more relaxed about them finishing the job, but when we did not hear from them eight days into January I reached out to them via email. After no response for five days I sent another email on 13 January explaining it had been six weeks since our 30 November meeting and my patience was now beginning to run thin. The owner of BP responded, sent new quotes for additions we had discussed and final cost for original project. I signed the paperwork and sent everything back on 16 January, then I did not heard from him or the project lead the rest of the month. There was not any movement from BP towards completing the project since before the final inspection on 20 November. On 8 February my wife attempted to contact the owner of BP, three weeks after I had sent him the signed paperwork. He did not respond to her email. He did not text me, call me, or send me an email. We waited for his response for over a week but we never received one. Extremely frustrated I wrote a very poor review about BP on Home Advisor highlighting our situation. On 19 February, shortly after the review was published the project lead reached out to me. The questions that gnawed at me were, would he have even reached out if I had not blasted them on Home Advisor? Did they have any intentions of finishing the project at all before the review? I realize this is all speculation and I do not know the answer to those questions. What I do know is we had given them $25,000 already so we were very concerned they were going to eat the $2,700 and run, leaving us with a busted patio and porch that was not up to code. The owner of BP never showed any initiative to respond back to my wife and I until that review was written, so now it has become an integrity issue. On 19 February I was told the remaining work, including the additions, would take two days. The work was completed on 11 March and we received notification that the patio and porch had passed the inspection on 13 March. The GOOD: The patio and porch, now, both look great which is why I gave BP 4 stars for quality of work. They corrected the issues with the patio and everything we asked for regarding the porch was added. Ultimately my family and I are happy with it. I will also add, when we did speak with BP they were professional at all times. The BAD: Customers should never have to go through the experience and stress my family and I went through with BP, which is why I cannot recommend them. After 30 November their communication with us was terrible and any of the negative could have been avoided if they had shown some initiative to contact us.

They did an excellent job on our deck. They were fast, affordable and receptive. Followed our instructions exactly. If I had one complaint it would be that they needed to communicate a bit more. But that is minor. I strongly recommend this company. Great work.

I looked to Home Advisor to find a contractor to replace our deck and give us ideas for our screened porch that really needed an uplift. I no sooner put in my contact information when I got a call from Tommy Greist, the owner of Bent Palm Design & Build. He set up a date and time to meet with my husband and I and and gave us ideas we hadn't thought about for our deck and porch project. His website was also very helpful to see other projects he had completed. His price was right so we signed the contract. Tommy's crew started the work a month later and they finished in under 2 weeks. We are very happy with the finished project and would highly recommend Bent Palm Design & Build to anyone looking for a dependable contractor to do any renovation project.

We started the process with 5 different contractors. Following several weeks of discussions, we stated our final needs and requested best and final offers. Tommy was excellent to work with and showed the greatest respect for my wife's and my ideas. The end product is a beautifully constructed deck - 32' by 14' with 20' by 14' screened-in. The quality is first class and we are extremely satisfied. Bent Palm was the second lowest bidder, but he outclassed everyone else. We will use him again on other projects.

Bent Palm was knowledgeable about the various products I inquired about and helped me make my decisions based on what was best for us.
