Do not hire this company. They give you a low quote to get your business and, later, they increase the quote egregiously.

The relocation company's dedication to customer satisfaction impressed me greatly. They went above and above to ensure that each and every one of my belongings was treated with care and made it to my new house in excellent condition.

Austin and his staff shifted all of our belongings carefully packed and labeled loaded unloaded and placed into the accurate position in the rooms. Wonderful guys.

BEWARE! We submitted a claim to compensate for the loss of a moving box never found by this moving company. That was the July 2 submission of all final documents for the claim and the company handling the claim advised it could take up to 45 days to receive a check in compensation. It is been over 45 days, now. So, not only does this moving company lose things, but it also wont compensates for losses! Never, Never use this company! They were expensive in the first place, secondly, they moved our household goods to a holding place in Florida, then when they did finally show up with our household goods they wanted more money before they would unload and gave us little time to react! NOT A GOOD MOVING COMPANY! BEWARE!

Terrible company. Donâ t use them. Unless you want items to come damaged and late. They have tons of hidden fees. They also didnâ t deliver hundreds of dollars or items that are now lost in the move.

Customer service was fine, but they did not follow through with delivery time, many things were dropped. our Big Green Egg was pushed into the elevator- tipped over - broken and they tried to hide it. I had to clean up the mess. After shown , they did apologize. I feel that when I am finally able to unpack ( things will be in storage for 6 months) most things will most likely be broken. The boys were diverted from our move, things were obviously just thrown into another truck with very little regard to us. The price was doubled after loading - we were obviously duped.

Lack of transparency and a dysfunctional company overshadowed the great work of the packers and movers. During the sales cycle, I communicated three requirements that were important to me. 1) I needed my sons belongings delivered by 2/20th (pick up date was flexible) 2) I did not want to be hit with hidden charges and 3) I needed a single contact for all communications and escalations. I was assured that Best America will exceed my expectations in all three of these requirements. The deceit started well before our belongings were even picked up. There was obviously no intention to deliver our goods within three days (as projected). The truck was already planning on driving in the opposite direction to store my son apartment contents in a Sacramento warehouse, where is sat for 28 days before it was delivered. The cost rose over 40% due to charges that were not transparently discussed and the salesman washed his hands of all responsibility after the goods were picked up on February 18th. No one at their company could explain why there was a delay or even where the contents of my sons apartment were. No one had any empathy that my son had to live out of a suitcase for a month and no one felt any urgency to escalate within their organization to help the customer. I do not blame the salesperson or dispatch or scheduling, I blame their leadership that obviously feels ok with leaving their customers in the dark with empty promises stating daily that ?tomorrow should be the day?. Someone in their organization knew what was going on. I would have been disappointed, but ok if they just came clean with me. Deep in the contract it does say that they are only in breach if 30 days pass, but any reasonable person would understand that it should never take that long to deliver a one bedroom apartment 500 miles. I also take responsibility for assuming that vetted their vendors. Now I know that verified, does not mean ?recommended?. If I read their reviews and reviewed the BBB, I would have never chose this company. All this being said, the movers on both ends did a great job and was efficient in their work. It is a shame they they have to represent a company that does not think much of their customers or their employees. My heart also went out to them when they pleaded for a tip, stating they did not get paid much.

Said they would be there at 9 showed up at 11. Worked till 9 at night Returned to Charlotte unloaded truck and reloaded it. Do not understand why.

I moved from Chicago, IL to Hollywood, FL Guys were great, price was fair, delivery on time. I understand they do local also and will hire them again, when I need to move locally.

Not only did they show up a day late they showed up at 3PM the day before my closing with a truck that was to small. They could not finish in time and came back at 2pm the day of my closing. Their packing was absolutely atrocious. Heavy office safe Went missing. Lots of damage. After 2nd truck was loaded price went up by $9200. Forget the claims procedure. It's designed to frustrate you from filing a claim. Message me and I can provide you with the 5 price increase invoices, 600 pics of partially filled boxes which increases the cf count and cost, damaged items, packing that is hard to believe without seeing the pics. Don't just walk away from Best American Movers, RUN RUN RUN. When you check reviews list by lowest first and see the pattern. YOU HAVE BEEN. WARNED.

Beware of this Sleazy company! They will tell you anything you want to hear but once you pay and they show up to move you they will not return your phone calls for weeks! We were told 21 days to deliver our things... that came and went. NO ONE WOULD CALL US BACK. We FINALLY got ahold of someone and they said they said they had 30 BUSINESS days from the day we agreed to have our stuff dropped off? 30 BUSINESS days came and went.. still no stuff. It was not until we threatened them and they completely breached contract and we told them we had contacted move rescue that they finally got our stuff. (Literally within 5 days of us saying we were taking legal action our stuff magically made its way to us) 3 months. We were without our stuff for 3 whole months. My children had no clothes or a bed to sleep on. We were sleeping on cheap air mattresses. We were in a new state with no family of friends and did not even have our items. It was awful. When they finally DID deliver we were missing ALOT. including my daughters twin bed. Thats a big item to be missing!! And so many boxes are missing. And if it did show up it was BROKEN. we are STILL going through the process of trying to get reimbursed. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use best American movers. They were HORRIFIC.

Stay far away from this company. They are an excellent example of **bait and switch**. They increased the price significantly once they loaded, the help could barely speak English, they lied about delivery. Its been almost 7 weeks and I still do not have my household goods. They do not return calls and refuse to acknowledge their failures. They should call themselves The Worst Non-American Non-Movers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

It was a complete nightmare. It couldnt have been worse. The only thing that could have been worse was if they didnt show up.

Do not hire this company. The destroyed custom made cabinets that cost $6k and dented a Samsung smart refrigerator. They offered us $89 for a settlement. We did not get full replacement insurance but did get $.60 per pound but refused to pay when they found out the custom cabinets weighed over 1600 lbs. save yourself some heartache hire someone else. The price also doubled even though we sent them pictures of everything that was being moved!

Used U-Haul truck. Only two men showed up. 2 Hrs. late. Pack and load 2 PM to 9 PM. Company does not support workers. Promised delivery 8/28-8/30, delivered 8/31. Two men showed up for pick up and delivery. Company does not support workers. All interface was with sales, no contact with scheduling to get be informed about pick up and delivery times/date

Terrible experience with this company, with exception to the packers and loaders. They were exceptionally good.

They are not upfront with the additional fees they charge to wrap up furniture, TVs and other items that they require to be put into a box. They also are not upfront about how long it will take for your things to be delivered. They picked up our stuff on 7/9/21 and as of 8/6/21 we still havent received a delivery date of our stuff. Not happy at all with this company and do not recommend using them!

Do not believe what you hear during the sales process. It isnt that the sales folks are dishonest, in fact they are very courteous and I think they firmly believe what they say. But they are completely disconnected from the rest of the company. Pretty much everything we were told about timeliness, quality, care, etc. was not the case in the end. Our move was from Indiana to Florida, and here are the specific issues: 1) A significant amount of sloppy packing leading to many broken items. This includes multiple lamp shades, multiple decorations, multiple lamps, a vase, a trash can, an office chair, a toiletry cabinet, multiple TVâ s (which were not bubble wrapped and were just thrown into boxes). Also a sweeper which they never mentioned was broken and they knew it was. The broken piece was strategically taped onto the vacuum so the breakage wasnâ t evident until taking off the tape. A very sentimental rocking chair was damaged that was built by hand. It was clearly handled very poorly. 2) Despite being reassured that the sleep number bed was not an issue and that the company was very familiar with how to disassemble and reassemble, that ended up not being the case at all. They forgot to cap some of the air hoses after disassembling, which is standard procedure for a sleep number bed. They also had no idea how to put it together and we ended up having to do it ourselves. 3) Some clothing was just thrown into boxes instead of being put in the wardrobe boxes that we paid for. They were all wrinkled and in a pile in the boxes. 4) The movers in Florida stole some of our beverages from the garage fridge, including one alcoholic drink. Would have been happy to give them water if they asked, but this was outright theft. 5) The lead mover in Florida was very resistant to moving boxes into the actual rooms they were labeled with. Some of his workers were trying to do the right thing and he kept telling them not to do this and to just put them wherever. We had to jump in and tell him this wasnâ t acceptable. Ultimately he got his way anyway and just dumped tons of box in the garage. Some were marked with the appropriate room and were still left in the garage. 6) The ladies who packed kitchen items, dishes, etc. in Indiana did an excellent job and took a lot of care. The men were very sloppy and literally just dumped drawers of small items upside down into boxes. 7) We ended up with someone elseâ s personal luggage. Our items were not supposed to be anywhere near anyone elseâ s and were supposed to be delivered directly from Indiana to Florida. Clearly they were put in a warehouse at some point and mixed with other movers. 8) It took almost two weeks to receive our delivery after being told 3 to 5 days. Hope this helps others in their selection of a mover. We had very high hopes for Best American Movers, but in the end were extremely disappointed.

Courteous and proficient. Fu;;filled their promises including estimate. One small scratch in a truckload of furniture. Great job!

The salesman Bob was courteous, professional, and always available. It was our first time using a mover and was a great experience. I would highly recommend this company.
