My homeowner major appliance insurance company took 3 days to hook me up with an electrician to fix the well pump relay. He diagnosed a blown relay, took off to town to find one and never called me till that night to tell me he was sorry etc etc. Meanwhile I have no water. The insurance company balked and told me to get my own so through Home Advisor I hooked up with Schaffer plumbing. They bypassed the relay which is not uncommon and found the well pump to be the real problem. They fixed it badda bing. Not an easy job but new pump works beautifully and my wife has water and is happy.

I got a response to my inquiry almost immediately, not from the office but the tech himself. We discussed the scope of the job and set an appointment for the same day! Problem was a true emergency so this was really appreciated. He came, on time, with the new fixture which he installed and tested. Price of the work was very fair. Will certainly call again when I need a professional plumber's services.

I was a bit shocked at the total cost. It was over $1,000 more than Mr. Schaffer said he thought it would be. I WAS thankful to get someone to come out at all on Labor Day. They worked very hard. It is such a blessing to have running water again. Mr. Schaffer is a totally nice individual. We have 11 horses to keep watered, so it's more critical when our well pump goes out.

The work was done well and with great service. I just think the prices are outrageous for some jobs. $250 for a 20 minute job is ridiculous to me, Saturday or not. Nothing against the guy who was here, he was wonderful. He even cut the price by $50 from what his boss said to charge, but again I feel those prices for people in crisis are unfair.
