I hired Better Days Home Repair several months ago for several tasks. The most important--in preparation for my upcoming cancer surgery--were to install safety bars in the shower stalls in two bathrooms and to remove a glass door enclosure in one shower stall to allow greater accessibility. I thought Bernie s quotes were on the high side, but I went with him because he seemed to have good online reviews and I wanted to get the work done quickly because of my upcoming surgery. Some of Bernie s work went bad and needed repairs. For example, one of the installed safety bars sagged, revealing a hole in the side of the shower stall. Also, the circular decorative bracket on one side of the safety bar fell off and cannot be reattached. I contacted Bernie, and he said he would come the next day at 9 am to rectify the situation. He never showed, however. I contacted him again and never got a response. Do yourself a favor and find someone who is more conscientious, reliable, and responsible that Bernie and Better Days Home Repair (and who can do a relatively simple job correctly the first time around).

Did a high quality job. Didn t stop to screw around with anything. Worked non-stop and cared about what I thought. Did everything I asked (even some extras).

Bernie arrived on time and was prepared to get right to work. You don t see that in many handy men any longer. He cleaned up and left the work area pristine. He was fast and efficient and charged a fair price.

Bernie is super professional and skilled at his work. He resolved issues with home which were overdue for repairs efficiently. My house is in great shape now.

Don't use this guy! He tells elders that he is a licensed handyman and charges double what a licensed contractor charges for the same job. He does not have a contractors license and there is no such category as a licensed handyman. He fixed the toilet and used the wrong part multiple times and has done jobs over $500. Unlicensed handymen are not allowed to do jobs over $500 in the state of California.
