Better Living is the kind of company that promises the world and then disappoints. They will take advantage of you if you are not paying attention. The company needs an overhaul from top to bottom. Very disappointed in what they say or think they stand for. The overall work is ok. The workers were all very considerate and respectful but the actual work was just ok. Please shop around a lot before you decide. And if you find that you need to go with this company make sure to stay on top of them.

Deposit was given to this business for a porch project on 12/29/18, but a refund requested on 1/2/19 and cancellation of our contract within 3 business days per PA law and the company's own policies, with written guarantee to 100% return/refund the deposit within 7-10 business days. Request was faxed, and receipt was verified on the phone with the company on 1/2/19 as well as fax transmission confirmation. We waited the 7-10 days as well as agreed to their request to send another salesman out to pitch the project again before we could receive our refund, even though we did not request this. We patiently went through that process as well and yet no refund was sent as promised. Repeated daily calls made to the office long AFTER the 10 days elapsed and each time was told that someone from accounting must deal with it. Repeated requests were also made with receptionist to receive a call back but over 4 days no call back was received. On 1/31/19 another call made to main number to request status of refund, and again was told that accounting would have to "look into that". At that point request was made to speak to manager or person in charge, and was on hold for more than 5 minutes. Called back and immediately requested to leave my name and number rather than leave me on hold. Receptionist acknowledged my request but no call back was received for the rest of the day. To be clear, I am not reviewing the quality of their work as we never started the project, but an assigned value to those fields is required to submit this review. Not the best communications from this company. Update: Refund was finally sent and received after nearly a month.
