We recently hired Big Apple Renovators for a full home renovation, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The project included remodeling our bathrooms and kitchen, installing new flooring throughout the house, fresh interior painting, and detailed molding work—and every aspect was handled with professionalism and care. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. The bathrooms and kitchen look modern, functional, and beautifully finished. The flooring installation was seamless, and the paint job brought a fresh, clean feel to every room. The molding and trim work added a polished, high-end touch that really ties everything together. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. The contractor kept us informed, stayed on schedule, and was always responsive to questions or requests. They were respectful of our home, maintained a clean work environment, and clearly took pride in their work.

After a lot of checking, this was the only roofer I found that had a special crew that specializes in flat roof work. They were very knowledgeable and very professional. Jon, a sales rep and one of the work managers, impressed me with his honesty when he told me, unlike other roofers I spoke with, that in my case -- since there was no bubbling on the old asphalt roofing -- there would be little benefit in tearing out the old roofing as opposed to just adding a replacement on top, except that tearing out the old would cost a few hundred dollars more. Also, others quoted me a price just for slapping new asphalt on top of or in place of the old asphalt, whereas Big Apple -- for almost the same price -- did a 3-part job of first installing a layered system of roof paving to direct rainwater toward the drains, then adding a synthetic water proofing material on top of the paving, and finally installing the asphalt roofing. I needed to replace my roof and shingle because of leaking, also replace old gutters and broken fascia capping. I chose Big Apple Renovators. I am glad I did it right. Big Apple's teams completed the jobs professionally and efficiently. I saw they worked in two and a half days and was amazed that all jobs were nicely done. We hired Big Apple after finding a leak in our roof from the December snow storm. Big Apple did a full replacement of the roof in mid-February. The workmanship looks really great and is a huge difference from the last roofer that did a bad replacement. Big Apple was helpful in answering all of our questions and was quick to respond to us. The replacement work was done efficiently in two days, right before another snowstorm hit. We highly recommend them.

I renovated 5 apartments in the past few years and worked with several companies. By far Big Apple Renovators has been the best to work with in terms of affordability, quality and speed of completion. I hired them for siding job but they did remodeling, reframing and much more. Our roof was taking in water and causing a major leak in the extension of our home. We spoke to a number of roofers, all of which could not locate where the leak was stemming from. From the moment I called Jon and Jimmy, I was treated with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. I am a new homeowner, with no home improvement experience and the entire team made me feel extremely comfortable with the process forward and what we needed to do to ensure the job was done correctly. Estimates were given and shortly after contract signing the work began. Each day the team was here, they pro-actively cleaned up the job site and gave me progress updates every step of the way. My roof wound up having 4x the number of layers it should have, and although the job was more than originally scoped, Jon and team did their best to keep cost low. We loved the work so much we decided to re-do the rest of the roof! At the end of the job I took comfort that it was done correctly and I can call them with any questions. I will be using Jon and his team for any additional improvements I plan to make on my home.

My partner and I self-manage a condo building in Park Slope. We hired Big Apple after a really shoddy roofer made a disaster of our building (we started with a few leaks, and ended up with a massive hole). With water pouring down through the stairwell, Jon came out ,on the weekend --in the rain-- and evaluated the roof with us. At this point we had already done a ton of research on roofing systems, and everything he told us about what needed to be done was exactly on point. He was the 5th or 6th person to come out and bid the job, but despite all the others having years of construction/roofing work on their resumes, Jon was the only one who seemed to know 100% what he was talking about, and was the only one willing to explain the entire process to us. There is a thing in the NY construction world (or maybe just everywhere) where most contractors are happy treating everyone like trash, lying, cutting corners, whether they are dealing with a city agency or a customer, everyone is beneath them. I can tell you that Big Apple does not share that attitude, and aside from their high quality of work, their excellent customer service really sets them apart. So we hired them for the job, they got all the materials ordered immediately, and started work within a week or so. Even though there were a few delays from the weather, everything was done within the schedule they laid out for us. Their crew worked expertly, expediently, and professionally. They even kept the job site clean while they worked (a small thing to praise until you realize most crews are fine leaving trash everywhere until the end). Anyway, the final job looks incredible, and I expect it to last many years. Part of what helps business like this succeed is customer testimonials on here and elsewhere. Although we were eager to post about our positive experience, we did not rush to get the review up. Big Apple did an incredible job, and stand behind their work, but we still wanted to --weather test-- the roof. Many rainstorms and an entire winter later, there has been zero water infiltration from the roof, everything still looks incredible, and absolutely no new problems have cropped up. If we had another roof to install, we would certainly hire them again.

Big Apple Renovators were a lifesaver this evening. When I told them about my emergency roof situation, they told me do not worry, we got you and we are here to help. John responded immediately and within five minutes called me back and told me who was coming and when. After Jimmy went on the roof, he flew his drone over the roof, detected the problems and discuss the solution with us. It was such a privilege to work with professional people. Big thank you to Jonathan(project manager) and Antonio(roofer) coming through to replace our leaky roof! we've had this issue since the beginning of last year, was looking for quotes all over, but after signing up with HomeAdvisor, Jonathan contacted me within 20mins of signing up and filtering out that I was looking to replace my roof. he came on a saturday to take a look at our roof and did not even have to go up to see it. he took out a Dji Mavic Pro and flew it up and surveyed our roof in minutes. quoted me an estimate and was spot on. the guys(Antonio) did a great 2 day turn around job on the roof. now I am confident going into the winter/snow season. I'm not one to promote a company, but this company (Big Apple Renovators) is one to keep on speed dial, Jonathan's number is already in my speed dial.

They did a very good job. The quality of the work was very good and the only question that came up about the placement of part of the gutter system, was addressed the next day and I saw the corrected work as soon as I got home. This led to the high customer service mark!!! Based on the first project I already had them do stucco work on the side of my house and that was also very well done. I have also requested a quote on a third project - new deck. So i would refer them without question.
