Their prices are on the high side and don’t offer senior discounts. City inspector commented on their good work

Wow, Zack is the greatest and nicest plumber ever! And interesting to talk to. I was home sick, no working toilet, and whoever at Big Blue sets up appointments went out of her way to send someone over to do a diagnostic, on my somewhat urgent schedule. I haven't lived here long and have no idea if the toilet's ever been snaked. Zack was very clean and considerate and took care of it for a minimum charge.

Carlos and Rodrigo are the best. Very professional, answered all my questions, and cleaned up after the job. They both exceeded our expectations.

Review by Dorus G. in Oakland, CA
They made an offer to replace the shower pan and then later refused to replace it. Rather wanted to caulk the shower pan instead, when it fact there is a problem with the fiberglass beneath it. On the first visit, I told the repairman I wanted the shower fixed once and for all no matter the cost. Made an assessment when they initially came out and did a "half fix". The "Half fix" was supposed to save me money but it didn't matter. They instead replaced the pipes unnecessarily. They also promised to send me paperwork but I never received anything in writing from them. Further, they did not show up time for the first appointment. When I called them after the appointment time to find out why they no showed, they argued that their records showed that they did in fact call me, but did not get an answer. I was home all morning and there was no indication on my caller ID. I received one call that morning and it certainly was not Big Blue Plumbing. They later said that they dialed the wrong number. I thought it was very unprofessional of Big Blue to spend several hours making apparently unnecessary repairs, the" half fix", and then, come back at my request and determine within 1-2 minutes that the fiberglass beneath the shower pan was the true problem and needed replacing. They then asked for more money to repair the shower pan/fiberglass which should have been detected and replaced on their first visit.

Great service, great technician, good work. A lot of time was spent talking about cost, and while I bundled a number of projects together (seemingly small but important ones) came up to a little over $1000. It was more than I expected, but the work was done and done well. You get what you pay for I suppose.

very professional, a bit expensive. I appreciated the thoroughness in checking the entire gas line when i just needed a specific gas valve replaced it seems like this was a way to upsell services.
