Bill Randall Brick Mason

I fired this 83 year old **mason** after two days on the job. His tools are worn out. He has no vehicle. Be prepared to drive him around. I drove him 67 miles the second day. He mixed foundation concrete (which I bought for him with my money at a famous home appliance store) directly in the foundation hole I dug. He has poor eyesight. He began laying the first course of bricks on the still wet concrete. His courses of brick were not level. WHEN I POINTED THIS OUT TO HIM HE PUT HIS BROKEN LEVEL ON IT TO SHOW ME IT WAS LEVEL. THE BUBBLE WAS ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT BUT HE COULD NOT SEE IT!I FIRED HIM. I WAS ABLE TO KNOCK APART MR.RANDALLS COLUMN EASILY BECAUSE HIS **MORTAR** WAS MOSTLY SAND! DO NOT HIRE BILL RANDALL!

Bill is old school, very experienced, hardworking, fair priced, a gentleman and good guy as well. I rang Bill and he came out the next day, knew exactly what was needed and as an ex-bricklayer myself, I trusted him right away. Ours was a small job, re-pointing some brick steps and filling in a minor concrete gap. Bill returned a day after the quote, and was finished in a couple of hours; he even walked around the house perimeter checking the integrity of our brickwork, just in case there were any issues. I wish I had more work around the house to give Bill. The steps came out fantastic, very good mortar match, neat work and left the site spotless. Would certainly hire Bill again and highly recommend him.

Tried to solve our problems with the stone work but it didn't help us.

Very experienced. Showed up on time, did work per our agreement plus a bit more so stairs looked perfect. Neighbors saw his work and hired Bill for brick work at their house. Great job at a very affordable price. Will certainly hire him again if needed.
