We recently had a project from Bilt Rite completed. The owner Mike was very helpful throughout the entire process. Was quoted a 3 week timeframe to complete the project and it was done on time. Even added on a new kitchen floor installation after we signed a contract, still finished on time. It is a process for the entire project but Mike was very helpful throughout. Not pushy either. You will get exactly what you envision for your remodel. Good contractors are hard to find, this is your answer.

I contracted with Built-rite Buffalo / Mike Farraraccio in June of 2020 to replace a pool house/shed in my back yard. Mike promised the project would be complete by August 2020 and would take about 3 to 5 days to complete. I contacted Mike at the end of August, Mike stated he was waiting for the town to issue a permit. After another month passed, I called the town to find out what was going on. Turns out, Mike did not submit the application in a timely manner and when he did it was not properly submitted. Mike blamed this delay on the town. This would be the first of many, many excuses and lies. Mikes two-man crew tore down the existing structure and then the wait began for the concrete sub followed by an extended wait for the builder and then the electrician. All subs did good work once they got on site. One of Mikes common statements would be we will be out next week next week would come and go without as much as a call. After several messages, I would get another similar promise, this went on and on. Finally in January of 2021, after much back and forth about minor items that were originally promised but long since forgotten by Mike the job was complete or at least I thought it was until I opened my pool in May of 2021 and discovered that the filter line to my pool had been accidentally cut right at the framing area for the concrete pad. I contacted Mike, and requested he cut the concrete so I could attempt a repair. Mike stated, I will be out next week, no show, no call. Repeated attempts to get Mike to stand behind his work went unanswered. I eventually had the new concrete cut and removed, skimmer line replaced where it had been cut. I let Mike know the cost of the repair (600.00), sent pictures, an explanation of the work done and the contact for the individual that fixed it. Mikes response, why so much without further comment. Built-rite got a 1.5 because despite the frustration from delays, lies and not standing behind his work, it got done.

He does not deserve any stars. He had way too many excuses for me to list. Bad businessman. He wanted me to call his subs, supposedly, because they would not return his call. They all gave him the nick name "No show Ferraraccio"

Built Rite company owned and operated by Mike F is highly rated by my family and I. The professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication was everything and more that was given! We absolutely love our addition and look forward to enjoying it for many years to come thanks to Mike and his wonderful crew.
Response from Company:
This was a $175,000 job well done. Thank you Charles!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! You will be sorry. Mike was the worst person I could have hired to do my GC for my new build. In the beginning he was great. Really enjoyed meeting with him and talking about my project. He was your typical sales man, all talk and very little if any actions. I would catch him multiple times lying to me and making up reasons why things were not getting done. He will over charge you way more than actual costs. He know the business and even better knows how to manipulate people into thinking he will over see the project. I hired him because I was assured he would be there everyday and make sure everything was done correctly. He never showed up and would never get back to you when there was a problem . Worst mistake I ever made contacting him. I would never recommend him to anyone. Your local paper boy would do a better job being your GC. I could write a book on the amount of problems I had with him.
Response from Company:
I've been in this business for over 45 years, we aim to please every customer we contract with. In this case, it did not work out and we are in a litigation suit to reach a resolution.

TL,DR: Construction of the garage and guys that built it were great. Electrician and salesman were kinda s**** though. The concrete and construction companies that Mike Ferraracio hires do great work. The electrician he uses is a joke though. The work that was done was done very well for the most part. The issue with my build was more of getting things done in a timely manner and Mike not clearly communicating when specific steps/stages would be completed. The electrician (his name is Dave, that is all I got) he uses refused to provide proof of any licenses, business identification, or insurance. Then he installed the incorrect service size from what I requested and tried to convince me I would not need the service size I requested. On the electrical inspection report, he had his name scribbled out and Bilt Rite written in instead. Then either he or his helper attempted to steal a 60A breaker that I had put in my main panel for them to wire the service to and replaced it with a 40A. I have never been a fan of salesmen, but I understand what they are and the necessity of them in the business, so I deal with it. Mike is the epitome of a salesman: a loud speaker and dresses the part, tries to smooth talk you at any chance. Rarely answered my phone calls but was relatively responsive to texting. He often would not understand or listen to my request for how I wanted something done. I ended up having to rework the gutters because he could not understand what I wanted. Often times I would ask when something would be done, he would tell me a rough date, that day would come and go and I would hear nothing from him. I was always the one having to chase him down to get any info. When I got into, it was generally wrong and I would have to go through the cycle again. Overall would I recommend them? Not Bilt Rite, but I would recommend Lund Concrete. They did an excellent job and I had around a 25x50 area of concrete they had to cover. 5 stars for Lund Concrete. Avoid Mike and be your own GC. It is probably easier and you do not have to pay him extra for the bare minimum coordination efforts he puts up.

Mike is extremely knowledgeable. Has been in the business a long time. He guided me when I was indecisive about a decision, gave me the pros and cons. His crew were all very nice and professional. I recommend them highly and I would definitely use them again.
