Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. One thing for sure, is that a home inspection requires work--a lot of work. Ultimately, a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector's own effort. The cost is very reasonable. Compared to what others are saying. Please don't think if you pay more you get a better report. Fritz does an excellent job, professional and is on time. I would recommend him and his service to anyone. The pictures and report are very helpful in deciding what is acceptable wear and what should be negotiated in a sales price.

I've now hired Birdseye for 2 home inspections this year. Fritz is absolutely reliable, very detailed and great to work with. We were looking at properties that included classic Vermont barns and his insights and expertise were very much appreciated. He inspected the houses from top to bottom and sent us his report within 24 hours, with plenty of detail and lots of pictures. Getting a home inspection costs a little bit up front but has already saved us thousands of dollars by giving us a more complete picture of these prospective homes. Hiring Birdseye was a great decision.

We hired Fritz for a home inspection and he was great. He was very thorough, got us a report within 24 hours, and was very honest about his recommendations. We then sought him out to come back and inspect something else (that the sellers supposedly fixed but didn't) and he did this happily and free of charge because it was related to the home inspection. It was very easy to schedule time with him too, he was happy to meet over the weekend. I highly recommend Fritz!
