Bit Designs

* This is an interim review that will be updated or replaced if things change * I cannot recommend Bit Designs. It has been a week since I last heard from Chris. He has not returned my calls, texts or emails since Monday of last week. I paid half of the estimate up front, but the work is not finished, I do not have the materials (supposed to have been purchased with the up-front money and brought to my home), and the project is unfinished. Either something has happened to him, preventing him from responding to his clients, or he is ghosting me. I have no way to know which. There are some other aspects to his business that are troubling, and suggest that he does not have the resources to manage his work: 1) the phone number and website listed on his Home Advisor listing are dead. All I have is a Gmail account and his cell number. 2) he appears to not have a checking account, as he had to cash my deposit check using a check cashing service. He requested that I make future payments online using a service called Cash App (from Square, seems legit, but still). 3) he does not have a contractor truck, and used a sedan to haul off construction debris from my floor tearout. 4) he does not have any sort of alternate contact who could manage customer inquiries and scheduling. He appears to be winging it. All in all, this contractor appears disorganized, and lacks the resources to manage work in a timely manner. I cannot speak to the quality of his work, as it is nowhere near completed. I will be contacting Home Advisors customer solutions department today.

I couldn’t be happier. The guys that did the work were very respectful and hard workers. The tree is gone and they took all the debris and put it on my curb for big junk day and/or anyone that wants some pine wood for their fireplace!! The

Chris did a great job. He was punctual,knowledgeable,and kept his work regarding a fix he attempted on our laminate floor. He promised that if the fix was not aesthetically pleasing he would return free of charge and make it right. He did exactly that. I would definitely recommend Chris for any flooring job.
