Black Diamond Heating & Air was the fourth Company I contacted to replace heat pump and furnace. Service Manager returned my call in an hour and was at my home the next day. (This is in contrast to the big companies who could not look at my project for three weeks}. Service Manager presented a contract the same day as his visit and scheduled replacement within a week of first contact. Crew arrived on time, completed heat pump and furnace in one day and made repairs to duct work and drains not covered in contract. Price was about half of what had been proposed by the other contractors that looked at job. Quality of work, customer service and price were well worth a five star rating or higher. In my experience Black Diamond Heating & Air is one of the best companies in the East Bay.

Michael Brown and his son removed all of our old ducting and replaced it in about 7 hours. This included after work cleanup.

What I appreciated most is that Mike is very honest. I just wanted a tune-up since I had never had anyone look at my HVAC since buying my house 8 years ago, Found out I have a tune-up free system. Mike could have told me that I should have him look at the furnace every year. I wouldn't have known better. He was honest and said my system should last another 10 -15 years with me just changing the filters regularly. Honesty is a rare quality these days. I would definitely recommend Black Diamond Heating & AC.

Mike and his son came on time, diagnosed the problem and did all the necessary repairs. They were very knowledgeable, great on price, honest, and dependable. Mike Brown's level of expertise, professionalism, and his high level of integrity were outstanding. He responded very rapidly to my request through Home Advisor, was at my home within two hours, and had my system up and running perfectly within less then three hours. His price was considerably under a previous quote from another company, yet he completed more work on my system then they had given me a quote on. I will absolutely hire him again if needed.

They were excellent workers. Owner Michael Brown explained everything to us. They were careful and cleaned everything up. Their bid was considerably less than the company that did our annual service. Quick response time. Able to diagnose the problem and make repair recommendations quickly. Paid a premium price for the repair but it was an emergency.
