We hired Black Forest Construction on March 4 2022, after Anthony Stoddard came and measured and estimated our project at approximately $***** and was told no later than July 4th for completion. Our project was a relatively simple expansion, adding 20 ft to the back of our 16 ft wide kitchen. The elements included, foundation, framing, roofing, adding a load bearing beam and removing the old outside wall from the kitchen to the back yard, installing electrical and plumbing as well as kitchen and a new half bath. This bid also included cabinetry for both the kitchen and the bathroom. Black forest finally broke ground on the new addition on May 13th 2022, some two and a half months later. . After footings were dug out, concrete did not go in until late June, then after footings were in, it took several more months for foundation to be poured. Once poured, it was not level, more than 2 inches difference in elevation from the south side to the north side. We were told this would be addressed while framing. The floor joists finally went in sometime in December of 2022, and the plywood subfloor was placed on in January. The wood then sat exposed to the weather until spring. Anthony, would send a guy over every so often to shovel snow off of it. The framing finally started in late spring of 2023, then the trusses finally went up on July 7th of 2023, a year and 4 months after hiring Black Forest, our patience was wearing thin as this was supposed to be completed one full year earlier. We decided to keep hoping he would complete before snow flew. He came and installed some plywood on the trusses and left sometime mid July claiming it was à ¢à  à  dried-inà ¢à  à  .. On August 2nd, a rainstorm came in and flooded the new and old kitchen area, coming through the newly installed roofing. I asked him to come fix this before it caused any more damage, the water had already flooded not only the new section, but in through the old window that was now exposed. (pictures and video available taken Aug. 3 after no response from Black forest) Finally in mid August, Tony came and applied more shingles, more tar and more nails, then on August 20th, another rainstorm, another leak(pictures available). I began seeking a new contractor at this time. I also found that Tony had installed the wrong shingles,(pictures available) and I had to go buy my own shingles that matched, because he told me that the matching shingles were not available, however, I found them locally and in more than enough quantity. I told him he would need to pull off the wrong ones and replace with the correct ones. We also, purchased our own doors at this time. The Reason why we chose to purchase our own doors, was he installed a window, claiming it was new. We asked him for the energy sticker and he told us he didn't have it, and that he had personally gone to Champion Windows and purchased the window. I stopped in at Champion windows and they told me that Champion windows does not sell windows to contractors, they will only install their own product due to warranty. It turns out, he got the window used from another project or at Re-Store and installed on my home, along with the rust, bugs, torn screens and cockroaches and eggs(pictures available) as of October 1st, 2023, there were still significant leaks in the roofing that he refused to address, telling me that once the sheet rock was up, the leaks would not be a problem. Around this time, several other contractors and inspectors had been in and out giving me bids. All of them came to the same conclusion, the wiring was the wrong size, he was using 14/2 wire to feed a kitchen, was pulling 120v from one side of a 50 amp 220 8ga wire at a junction under the new build to supply power to portions of the 14/2 wire. The whole kitchen was wired to go through that one leg of a 220 50 amp plug(only a 30 amp break
