Black Rock Paving

The first time they said the job was finished it was terrible, and they came back to finish it. It is now adequate.

With several calls, I am still waiting from last summer for them to finish my driveway... I will edit my review when project is complete!

Black Rock paving came out to give me an estimate the same day I called. They put in a gravel parking pad for my camper 2 days later. Very professional and would call them again.

Great crew did the work fast and did a good job.

They showed up as promised and for the negotiated price. Hard to argue with that.

Avoid at any cost (or estimate). I hired Block Rock to redo and straighten the corner of my L-shaped driveway. The section where they added asphalt sank to below ground level, when it rains water is coming into my garage and straight line on the corner is not straight at all.

BlackRock Paving now has asked that I allow a second contractor that BlackRock Paving picked come out to fix my driveway. They have asked that I pay that contractor the remaining balance for my job. Funny thing is the owner of that company has the same last name as the owner of BlackRock. I asked for an independent third-party review of my driveway And BlackRock Paving believe that third-party means a contractor related to them. I have a driveway that is pitching back towards my house leaving almost an inch of water next to my Foundation and a pond in the middle of my driveway that is now 8 feet wide 26 ft long and 2 in deep. None of my driveway was graded per industry standard. I have asked for a refund of my deposit or to have a third-party independent engineering firm review my driveway and certify the work done and the repairs needed. BlackRock Paving could provide the repairs that a third party engineering firm recommends I would be happy to pay them for the full job. Unfortunately I have told by the owner they are not going to do that nor will they refund my deposit. The situation is laughable. I was even told I'm being unreasonable by the owner of BlackRock.

This was a great company to work with. They communicated with me about the time and they showed up when they promised! They did the job well.

I am mostly satisfied with the job, although the material they used to fill the smaller cracks sunk in and opened back up. I haven't had a chance to call them back yet and see what they can do about this. Once I have a chance to talk with them my review may change. Ed H.

This is a local family owned business. Customer service is great. They were easy to work with. Was able to get the job done very quickly and he listened to what I wanted and understood which is why I hired them. Highly recommend them.

Price was fair. Received proposal within 1 day. Great owner and the job was well done.

We had a small issue with an oil stain leaking through the initial application of the asphalt, and it took Black Rock a little time to fit us back into their schedule for the repair, but they did an outstanding job overall, and we are very happy with their work.

The seal job was not done well. The cracks are already opening back up and the seal is flaking off in different spots. They were 4 hours late. We had to keep calling them to get an update on their arrival. They did not perform all of the jobs that they had quoted they would do for the agreed upon price. They had to leave 1/2 way through to get gas for their equipment. Their equipment leaked sealer in front of our house onto the road. We contacted another company for a quote to seal our driveway properly.

I called, Zach came out and gave me a bid, and my driveway was done the next day. They did a great job, and I'm very happy!

Our driveway is a huge “U” shaped driveway, and it looks fantastic! The workers are so fast and very polite. It was a pleasure dealing with them, and the job was done two days ahead of schedule.
