Black Tie Moving Louisville

If this local franchise is still in business in Louisville (which I was informed that they were not). Do not hire them. He showed up a day late, did not complete the job in one day as promised, then showed up the next day with one less crew-person. I literally had to help them move my stuff out of the house because we were closing that day (remember they ended up being two days late because they did not start on the scheduled day and took an extra day). Once they finished, and they had left, we noticed missing lamps. I contacted the local owner and they did nothing. I do not know how anyone would give this franchise (Louisville, KY) anything more than 1/2 a star. Stay away. You have been warned.

After I researched around for many moving company, I decided to pay a little bit extra more with hope to get a good moving service with Black Tie cause the company had a great advertise and review online. But until I did experiences with Black Tie moving on 01/17/2020, I would rather not to choose Black tie moving at the beginning because a few reasons below: 1/ Movers were not on Time arrived to my home as Black Tie Rep. said it should be from 8am-9am. Movers were not showed up until 9:45am. 2/ Number of Mover were not correct at 3 movers. Only 2 movers were showed up at my house. Again. this was not exactly like the Rep of Black Tie told me on the date I paid for the deposit for the service on 1/13/2020. Black Tie only sent the 3rd mover came to my house until they figured out I had more heavy items and boxes that I need to move. The 3rd mover did not showed up until an hour later on the same day. 3/ Movers were not fully carried big items like dressers by hands go upstairs at the movers should do. The movers of Black Tie put the big dressers item on the dolly and tried to pull the dolly on each stairs of my new home. The dolly scratch the new paint stairs off when I tried to told the movers please do not roll the dolly on the stairs because heavy items would scratch off the paint and broke the stairs nose. The Black tie's movers did not cooperate with me so the result paint came off. 4/ Attitude of the movers were not professional as the advertise. When the movers showed up at my old house, they told me that only big major items needs to move, no boxes so not enough movers. But when I talked to the Rep. of Black Tie on the 13rd of Jan.2020, I already mentioned about the items needs to moves were dressers, beds and boxes. So, the movers were upset because I had boxes need to move when I already wrapped everything in the boxes for the movers. 5/ Customer Service was not great because I did discussed on the phone and sent photo with text to Troy to mentioned about the paint of my stairs came off because the dolly. Troy said he would stopped by on 1/20/2020 to took a look after I sent those pictures of my stairs. But no one reached out to me on 1/20/2020 to follow up about my complain about the paint of my new home stairs. Conclusion, I would not recommend to use Black Tie as the mover of your house because the movers could damage your new home or the home you just bought.

This team was terrific. They took care in handling furnishings, worked efficiently and charged reasonable rates. I highly recommend this mover.

Would I recommend Black Tie Moving? I was told to leave everything in the drawers(bad news) They broke a bench and just layed the pieces in the garage at my new place and said nothing. Broke one of my TV's and Troy said if it still works don't worry about it. Messed up my grandfather clock, when Troy came out to look at it, I ask what he knew about fixing it, and his reply was nothing. I had my Grandfather clock fixed by a someone who knew what they were doing. Cost me $150. , this was 9 weeks ago and still have heard nothing about my repair bill. I have scratches on several pieces of my furniture. They were suppose to move another bed and my grill and I was told sorry we don't have room on the truck. My answer is NO I would not recommend

Troy Maniscalco was our salesman. He gave us a reasonable quote and seemed OK. We scheduled our move. They were about an hour late but not a big deal. They actually did a decent job and I gave them a tip. They were on the job 5 hours. When they wanted me to sign off at the end they wanted to charge me for 7 hours and the total twice the quote. When I said that was in error the lead man, Carlos I believe, got real belligerent and got in my face in a threatening manner. I am 73 years old and not interested in tangling with one or three of them. so I paid. I called Troy repeatedly to discuss the issue a least a half dozen times. He kept telling me he was to busy but would call me right back. He never did. The last time I called he just hung up. These people are either terribly incompetent or dishonest, but my advice is to not do business with these people.

They got my attention when they came out for a home tour instead of just a taking of information over the phone, saving me some money. And they sealed the deal for me with their efficiency, friendliness and willingness to work with me.

Prompt professional team. I would hire and recommend them over and over again. I sooo pleased with this company.

The two movers were very friendly, prompt, and moved my furniture with care. No issues at all with the service or quality of the move. Only lost 1 star because the final price was over $130 more than what I was originally quoted, but they did give me a quote over the phone without seeing in person.

showed up on time, uniformed and neat. all movers were polite and treated our belongings with care. i would highly recommend, we have another move coming up and will be calling them again. thanks Black Tie crew.

They didn't arrive to move items until an hour and a half after the scheduled time. Agreed to a team of 3 and only 2 came. Guys doing the actual moving of items were efficient.

I was moving my 85 year old mother to assisted living. The employees were personable and hard working. They took excellent care with her furniture and other precious items. It was a great experience for her and her daughters! Thanks guys for being patient with us and so helpful!

Excellent from start to finish...the initial phone call put me at ease to use them for our movers and did not let us down!
