Top Tier Security Solutions, LLC

We have had Top Tier security services for the past 8 days. Both the salesman and one of the technicians told us we had 10 days to have the system installed and checked if we wanted or would like to have it removed. We got charged a random fee, then called their offices and the representative said that we actually only had 3 days not 10 days. He apologized for the frustration and said either weep the service (which is about triple the cost of what they told us) or we have it removed paying 75% of the remaining of the contract (60months). We are extremely upset and feel ripped off as two employees told us one thing and the over the phone representative said he could not affirm what was said. We do NOT recommend the company and will warn others trying to prevent them from having a ton of unresolved frustration while the representative cannot do anything about it and apologize for it

I recently switched to Top Tier for my home security needs and have had a mixed experience. On the positive side, I appreciate the overall quality and value of the system, and the customer service, which is primarily US-based, has been quite good. The process of transitioning from my previous provider was smooth, thanks to Top Tiers assistance. However, I encountered some issues related to the systems features. The sales pitch promised certain functionalities like 4K resolution cameras and 180-degree rotating cameras, which were not available in the final installation. This seems to be a misunderstanding rather than intentional misinformation. I believe better training for sales staff could help align customer expectations with the actual product offerings. Another concern was with the doorbell camera. While the outdoor cameras support 24-hour recording with added SD cards, the doorbell camera lacks this feature. This limitation left a blind spot in my home security. Although initially promised a complimentary additional camera to remedy this, it was later retracted, leading to some frustration. Ultimately, the issue was resolved, but not through the security department. In retrospect, while I am satisfied with the current system, it is worth noting that it is quite similar to what I had with my previous provider. I believe Top Tier has potential in the home security market, but there are areas for improvement, especially in terms of feature clarity and customer fulfillment. Update (01/10/24): After being a Top Tier customer for a few months, I am beyond done with this company. They start out great, and then once they have you on the hook, and in a contract, they could not care less. I wish I had never switched away from my previous security provider. As part of our deal with this company, we were supposed to be getting 3 years of free security monitoring. Then out of the blue they began charging me for monitoring after being with them for less than 2 months. I called them and asked about this, and they said they had no record of us being offered the 3 free years, despite me having a text message from a representative of the company stating we would be. Unless you want to deal with lie after lie and headache after headache DO NOT do into business with this company.
