Jelle Masonry

We hired Jelle Masonry to tuckpoint our home that was built in 1927. After reading the other reviews about his prior work on older homes, we were confident Quentin would make our house look great. After the project was completed, however, all we can say is we were very disappointed. The work seemed rushed (they bid the job for 25 hours/3 days and only worked 2 full days for about 8-9 hrs each.) The mortar they replaced looks sloppy in very visible parts of the home; not tooled to match the surrounding area. They forgot to fix whole areas of our home that were specified in the bid (ex. chimney). Communication was another area severely lacking. We asked if they could come back and fix some areas we were unhappy with/they forgot to tuckpoint. They came for about 3 hours the following Monday and were gone. Never texting/calling my wife or emailing me to see if we were satisfied until the following day when they were ready to send the invoice. When we still expressed our dissatisfaction but realized Jelle Masonry was not the company to restore our home, we got the response **we are confident we left your home in better condition than when we started** Hard pass on ever hiring them again. If you have a small project, I am sure they could get it done without issue. But if you want a larger project done, especially to an older house with character, you would be better looking elsewhere.

Bid to install ceramic tile in bathroom. Had to rip it all out and have it redone.

He has done multiple projects for us. He is super hard working. He is punctual. He is a good problem solver and does excellent work.

Quentin always asked our opinions before starting a project and offered his opinion when asked. We appreciated his concern for our feelings and pride in his work. Our walkway and stairs look great. He was a pleasure to work with . We will definately hire him again when the need arises.

Jelle did a great job. I echo the other reviewers, in Quentin's work habits, personality and the quality of their work. They are a good value for the money and their scheduling / execution was great for our project. The one minor drawback was a couple of loose ends that didn't get attended to, but that may have been because my communications with them got a little dampened by having more than one customer for the job. So setting up the requirements was on me and my bad. On the other hand, as a young business, one thing you have to learn is that setting the requirements and communication will always fall on the supplier, no matter how bad the customer is. That's just the nature of the business as an individual provider.

Quentin arrived on schedule and did a superb job tuck pointing the brick on our house. He arrived around 8 and worked a full day every day. The brick looks fabulous! He cleaned up after and was very meticulous. He was extremely polite and very professional. We highly recommend him for your next job.

Quentin did a wonderful job. He was polite, arrived on time, put our stone wall back together like as big 3D puzzle, and charged his bid price. The wall looks great. He will be our go to guy for future jobs.

Quentin and his team did a fantastic job on a very old chimney. Our home was built in 1865 so we are very particular about who we hire. They do beautiful work, clean up everything when done and we are already planning on calling them back for other projects. Would hire them again without question! There are people that do concrete work and then there are people that are real Masons. Quentin is the latter. Excellent work!

They clean everything up when finished. Call if going to be late. Will hire again, have more work for them.
