"We would like to clarify the circumstances of this project. In the fall of 2022, Blooming Landscape completed a sod installation, patio, seating wall, driveway, and veneer stone columns at this property, all of which were completed and paid for in full. On April 12, 2023, we entered into an agreement for additional work, including new sod, Belgian block installation, a driveway extension using brick, and installation of a shed designed by the customer. The agreement called for a $600 scheduling deposit, which was never paid. The $7,000 check shown in this review was not a $7,000 deposit for the sod project. It was an initial payment toward the additional contracted work, including the shed, Belgian block, driveway extension, and sod. The shed work, which was performed under an agreed labor-and-materials arrangement, was completed in May 2023. The remaining portions of the project were subsequently cancelled. After completing the shed, we began preparing for the sod installation by removing the existing lawn. At that point, the customer informed us that the sprinkler contractor was not yet ready, and we were instructed to pause the sod installation until that work could be coordinated. We continued communicating regarding the remaining work, including discussions about requested changes to the scope. Scheduling was affected by the customer?s availability, including periods when he advised us that he was on vacation. We continued attempting to coordinate the remaining work, but ultimately the remaining portions of the project did not proceed and were cancelled. Blooming Landscape has not performed work at the property since 2023. The existing lawn was removed in preparation for the contracted sod installation. Since approximately three years have passed without the remaining installation being completed, the weed growth shown in the current photographs is not representative of the condition of the property when we last performed work there. For these reasons, the characterization that Blooming Landscape simply took a $7,000 deposit, removed a lawn, spread inexpensive topsoil, and abandoned the project does not accurately reflect what occurred. Blooming Landscape remains committed to professional service and addressing customer concerns appropriately."
