We contracted Blu Group General Contractors to build a simple 288 sq ft deck floor with the assurance from Chris, the owner, that he would do the work with his crew. That was not the case. The 1st subcontractor was an admitted drug addict that went to jail and left our deck unfinished. The 2nd subcontractor hired to complete the work was even worse than the first and a drug addict with charges as well as a scammer. We are not deck builders so looking at the deck thinking it was okay, but upon a closer inspection there were boards not screwed to anything, big gaps between boards and no support for some of the boards are just a few issues. Trash & debris was left all over our yard. My husband finally got Chris to come out to see the deck after sending numerous pictures along with his project manager, Robert who stated he was ashamed of the deck; subcontracted the work to a contractor we had hired do other work for us. My husband recommend our contractor since they were already working, Chris stated that he would do the work himself. Chris made the decision to subcontract the work to our Contractor and an agreement was made between the two. Upon the completion of the work, Chris refused to pay the agreed upon money because we will not release him from our contract and responsibility of our deck. He wants the subcontractor to take responsibility for the entire deck that Blu Group is responsible for the construction. We're very ashamed to admit the money we paid to a so called professional contractor when the deck looks like our local neighborhood handyman built. My apologies for the lengthy review; however, this has been an absolute nightmare and really don't want anyone to go through what we've gone through with Blu Group General Contractors. They were very professional, very quickly, do an excellent job in a timely manner and the pricing is better than fair.

Chris did a great job, came out on a Saturday afternoon within a hour of talking to me. The job was more difficult than expected but Chris took care quickly and professionally. I definitely will use Blu Group General Contractors again.
