Blue Dome Construction

I THOUGHT I was hiring someone capable since I went through Home Advisor/ANGIâ S list. I unfortunately hired Blue Dome to: 1) install new aluminum siding on 2 sides of my house and 2) build a deck. The deck is fine. THE SIDING WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. PLEASE, AVOID THE NIGHTMARE. They did say they had never installed aluminum siding and I asked them if I needed to worry about it and they said NO. They initially told me **we know that you are supposed to use nails with aluminum but we are using screws because thats a lot of nailing**. Even though they were aware they were not using the correct fasteners, they were not aware that they were attaching those fasteners too tight and they went along installing it wrong which resulted in a subtle waviness that wasnâ t 100% obvious when they were first finished due to the very FLAT matte chalky finish on the bare white siding. (Flat hides unevenness very well) There were some dents and dings and errors that I noticed upon completion but I decided I could live with them and didnâ t want to burn bridges over that. But after getting the house painted with a dark sheen, the sheen is now accentuating a sea of dents and **wrinkles**. It looks absolutely ridiculous! I reached out to Blue Dome with photos of what the house looks like 2 months after the install and told them that I think they installed the siding wrong and that they used the wrong type of fasteners and over tightened it. The temperature had dropped also and the siding was buckling. I asked them to please work with me on a resolution so that this didnâ t get ugly, and to please come back to fix it, I offered to pay for materials and the 2nd paint job- I also asked for my money back instead-and they had 0% interest in helping at all. They didnâ t even ask to come see the issue in person but they did change their story and now said they used nails (which doesnâ t automatically now make the install correct-this just means they used the nails incorrectly). They were 100% sure they were not to blame for any of it and deflected 100% of the blame onto my solo Painterâ s spray gun. FYI-My painter has been painting houses for 35 years and used the same exact equipment on the entire house but ONLY the 2 sides that Blue Dome installed are wrinkled and wavy and dinged. And my painter has painted 2 other aluminum siding properties of mine using the same EXACT equipment and both of those houses are 100% flawless. To get a 2nd and 3rd opinion about what exactly happened here (even though I KNEW the siding was installed incorrectly and even though everyone who has seen it has commented on the terrible siding job- even people who donâ t normally care about the details) I hired 2 x pros who have been in the building business for 40 years to come out to the property and both of them said it was an **incorrect siding install** They said not only does it look like the siding was mishandled causing dents and dings but it was attached too tightly to the sheathing, and that the sheathing was not rigid or flat enough and this is all contributing to a type of OIL CANNING in combination with the sheen of the paint highlighting the unevenness. GOOGLE OIL CANNING AND YOU WILL KNOW WHAT MY HOUSE LOOKS LIKE. My house is a mess and it is getting worse. These guys also did not know what a drip cap was when I showed them one that was already installed on another side of the house-they told me it was upside down and wrong- when actually it is 100% correct and necessary. They also hounded me and were quite rude to me and even threatened me to leave them a 5-star review throughout the job. Thank goodness I did not succumb. Great experience all around!!! Anatoliy did a fabulous job for us!!! Extremely experienced and professional! Cost estimate was very reasonable and affordable. Very important - kept very clean around him while and after work was completed. Delivered on time, as promised and left us completely satisfied! Our floor, now look GREAT!!! Very service oriented. Followed up after job was completed to make sure that we are still satisfied. Truly FIVE STARS service. Highly recommend to all my friends.

Rob and Teddy are Aces! They came to look at the job (click and lock flooring )on time, and scheduled their install date and time on the spot. The installation was very Professional from start to finish. I would highly recommend these gentleman.

Anatoli and Bob did a great job , they are both perfectionist and they thoroughly clean up after the job is done
