Bob's Seamless Raingutters

In 2020 I had Bobs Raingutters come in and give me an estimate of how much to replace my gutters. The estimator came in and looking at the back of the house was and I told him I told him 40 foot. I had him put 2 downspouts on the back since it was a 40 foot run (1 at each end) Although he had no ladder to take a close look at the condition of the mold/trim board or the fascia board to see if it would be worth it for me to replace the gutter. Since he did not bring up any issues with the installation of the back of the house or the two short runs in front of the house I figured it was good to go. So I accepted the bid and set up an appointment for the installation of the gutters. There is no property line fence between my neighbors house and mine. When the crew came in some of them ran across the neighbors property and the rest came through my shrubs that I have along the sidewalk. Not professional in any way. Most contractors and their crews will use the pathway to the front porch or up the driveway. They put it up gutters in the from and back, then left. It looked good until the first heavy rain where one of the downspouts in back fell apart. I got my ladder out and looked at the gutter and it had standing water in it. Not good. I had them come back and fix it and they did. I had water coming out both downspouts as it should. They like to use the gimmick of spraying a light level of water on the roof to show how well the gutters work and I told them that that would not even be a normal rain storm let alone a good thunderstorm. The second year 2021, it was only coming out one. I checked the gutters and downspouts for obstructions, like leaves and pine needles but found none. So I called them up again. They tried several different approaches to trying to fix it but nothing worked. The boss came out, asked me if I had a ladder looked around and said he would call the crew back again, sill nothing worked. During the winter of 2022 I figured I had nothing to lose so I started reading up on rain gutters and problems that occur. In 2023, I gave them one more chance to make it right but they finally admitted that it sloped but they did not say if it was the trim, fascia board or house that sloped so I asked them why not use t-wedges or something similar to straighten it out and they said they did not use wedges. After I went inside and they had left I wont back out to look at the gutters and they did not even put them backup right. They left a gap between the rain gutter and the fascia board letting water run down between the gutter and the house. Several issues came to light: 1.) The estimator should have had a ladder to get up close to the mold/trim board to see if it was good as well as the fascia board and let me know of any problems. 2.) The boss should have had a ladder and a foreman there to figure out how to fix the problem. 2.) The drip edge was to close to the mold/trim board to be any good since it would not divert rainwater away from the mod/trim and fascia board directly into the gutter causing the wood to mold and rot. 3.) They do not use wedges to keep the gutters straight and tight against the fascia board to keep them from moving in high winds and weight from the rain water. 4.) I have 40 feet of rain water from the gutters that I have to channel away from the foundation instead of just 20 feet from both ends of the gutter. Now I have to find another company to come out and see if I need to replace the trim and fascia boards to get the gutters to work right. If Bobs rain gutters estimator or the crew would have told me that there might be problems with the install I would have left the old gutters up and put the money into the exterior of the house but I guess they were just to lazy or money hungry to be professional.

I was only going to be up in Washington for 2 weeks and they found time to come out while I was there and give me an estimate. I liked there product and price so had the job done. I wasn't there when the job was done, but I heard it came out great. They sent me a bill, I sent them a check and all is good. Thank you

Mike, who owns Bobs seamless rain gutters was very nice, straight forward, and there were no hidden costs. He was willing to explain the whole process and his workers were respectful and did a great job.

Work quality went down because... screws found in driveway, cut pieces of gutter found in neighbors yard, my gutter downspout extensions were not put back on (nor was I asked if I wanted them put back on), floating gate not put back, gutter cuts a little rough. Workers were on time, polite, and got the job done in a timely manner.

The installation crew arrived right on time and immediately started to work. Very friendly and willing to answer any questions. I needed to add an additional gutter and they were more than willing to adjust the job. I am very happy with the installation and the appearance of the gutters. Highly recommend.
