We hired Bordner to replace some siding and replace our gutters. We also asked if they could fix a foundation crack and they told us they could. They contract jobs out to different crews, so we had a gutter crew and a siding crew with Bordner managing them. Overall, our experience was average and at times very frustrating. The main problem was inconsistency with communication and lack of experience with managing our projects. They kept changing when the crews would be at our home. I told them I wanted to be home when they were making repairs, but they initially scheduled the siding crew to come when I would not be home. Then things kept coming up where they could not be here, so they finally came after 3 attempts. They also miscommunicated when the gutter crew would be here. I never knew who I was supposed to communicate with as I kept getting information from different people. We were also told by our sales rep during our initial inspection that we would be getting certain things, but that was not the case. We were told gutter guards were included in our gutter replacement when they were not. And they kept giving us the run-around with fixing our foundation. I provided them with an inspection report and gave them access to inspect it and they said they could do it for free. Yet, I never got a clear answer on who was going to fix it or how. First I was told one of the crews would fix it, then I was told our sales rep was going to do it, to which I declined. I was then told the manager was going to do it but that got delayed. When he finally came to inspect it, he said he was not qualified to do it either. I would rather them say no from the beginning than promise something they could not do. The worst experience we had was with the siding crew. When they finally came to do the job, they sawed the siding pieces on our deck and sliced a cut in it and scratched it in many places. They also did not paint our siding as indicated. When I confronted the crew, they tried to deny it even though I watched it happen. Bordner required them to replace parts of our deck and finish the painting. However the crew did not show up when they were scheduled. I was eventually told they were no t coming, but I was supposed to be notified when they would be rescheduled. Then the crew shows up the next morning unannounced at 7:45am. They did not even let us know they were here, I just noticed a stranger standing on my backyard deck. I called our rep to make sure this was the crew, but got no answer or call back. I finally realized it was them, but I never got an apology from anyone about the miscommunication and just received a bill about 2 weeks later. Also, when you ask for an itemized invoice, they refuse to give it to you. You only get a basic overview of the total cost for each project so you really do not know what your money is going to. On our contract we had a $300 cost listed as "Other" that we could not get clear information about. At first we were told it was for part of the siding materials, then that it was part of the overall gutter cost, but come to find out it was for painting the siding. I only found out the true cost when I spoke to the manager later to complain. So again, major inconsistency which makes you feel like you are being taken advantage of. Overall the siding work was decent, aside from the deck damages and unprofessionalism. The gutter crew was very professional and did a great job with their work. It was the issues with communication and lack of compassion for our issues that really hit hard. We received no apologies until I reached out to the manager to complain, and when I asked for a $300 discount for that unknown cost, they initially refused. They haven?t done the job yet. After I signed the contract and applied for financing I was told it would be 4 weeks. I had to get them to install a tarp over the area that was leaking.

My wife and I are very pleased with our whole-house installation of Marvin Infinity windows. We selected Marvin on the basis of reputation and our confidence in Bordner following replacement of our roof several years ago. The installation was first rate, and weâ d like to give a special shout-out to Brian and Henry. They are skilled craftsmen and were responsive to our questions and the occasional special request. Weâ d welcome them back any day. The whole interior of the house has now become brighter and the rooms seem larger. As you know and we now appreciate, the windows are quickly and easily cleaned entirely from the inside. Where tempered glass is presently required by building code (it wasnâ t when we built) weâ re now up to code. I look forward to month-to-month comparisons of energy usage with the Marvin windows based on both their energy efficiency and weathertight seal. Ask me if I miss our old deteriorating and drafty double-hung wooden windows. Curb appeal of a house is always a subjective matter, but we noticed an improvement that was greater than we had anticipated. The finished installation fits in perfectly with our homeâ s architecture and adds a rich finishing touch. A substantial portion of the projectâ s cost will undoubtedly be recouped at resale time. In the meantime, weâ ll enjoy the results for years to come.

Salesperson was excellent in describing all the details of the install and subsequently made that a part of the contract. The workers were prompt and schedule was kept. I was very pleased.

They kept to schedule, even ending the project early to avoid a delay due to bad weather. Installers were friendly, efficient, tidy, and mindful of pets. Would recommend this company to anyone!

The installer did a fantastic job on my bathroom remodel. He was always on time and at the end of each construction day all equipment was kept confined to the bathroom being worked on which I greatly appreciated. I still can't believe both bathrooms were completed in 5 days. They look amazing!
