Bowman Contracting and Concrete

The whole job was a disaster.. showed up without correct equipment or preparation for the job to be done correctly. Very aggressive and disrespectful when questioned..

Michael Bowman did concrete work for me and we had issues throughout the whole process. There were gaps missing - we asked for it to be filled and he did a sloppy job with caulk, not concrete to fill the gaps. The railing was not installed correctly and it was loose, creating a safety hazard for people trying to use it. Sent him a video and pictures of the issues, and he refused to acknowledge the issues while telling us he left that porch in good condition. He was cheaper than other quotes we received and now I see why. Michael is condescending and argumentative whenever a concern is raised, and he openly talks poorly about his competitors. We did not expect perfection or have unrealistic expectations but we did expect professionalism and somebody who would take pride in getting the work done well. I would not hire him if you want a job well done.

Michael Bowman poured a driveway for me in September of 2021. When Michael inspected his own work a few days later, he commented that there was a low area in the concrete. This area (approximately 4â by 5â ) was in the exact spot where I had asked Michael to make the concrete level extra high, to force rainwater to run away from the house, rather than toward it. He made the comment and left, and nothing was ever done to fix the issue. In March of 2023 I sent Michael photos of that exact area, where the concrete is now crumbling apart and breaking up into pieces and powder. He responded immediately that "it can be smoothed back out with an awesome product." He came by a few days later to purchase a product that I had put up for sale on Facebook, and he checked the bad area while he was there. Then he promised to get it repaired before the end of summer. Here we are, on October 5, 2023, after several texted reminders to him, and this repair work is not yet done. The weather is becoming wet and cold, and I"m pretty sure this will not get fixed before the snow flies. This entire time, the section of crumbling concrete is getting larger and larger. Micheal Bowman charges a little less than others, but there is a reason why. The quality is lacking and his product does not stand the test of time. I do not recommend using him.

Saved the day after getting scammed by another concrete company I found on this site. Job was done quickly and 100% to my satisfaction. Used for my pole barn floor and pad. Did such a good job I immediately hired him to do my gravel driveway.
