Tim took 11 months to â repairâ damages To my home after hurricane Ida. He would show up to ask for money and would then be gone for months. EVERY â repairâ he did had to be redone due to such shoddy work. When confronted, he got belligerent and walked off the job. He TOOK 32 THOUSAND dollars from me! He presents himself as a kind caring person. The fact is all he wanted was money. He promised he would take care of the few pieces of furniture left in the house yet EVERY piece was broken or damaged. I was charged for materials he didnâ t install and he ruined my new floors. They had to be removed and replaced because of improper installation. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!! He totally took advantage of the fact that Iâ m a single grandmother and was dealing with my grandbaby who was undergoing surgeries and chemo for kidney cancer. Again, 11 months to screw up everythjng he did in my house. He accepts no responsibility and refused to return any of the money even for the materials he never installed. He broke my furniture. Sheetrocked over my baseboards and my attic door. Said he did mold remediation but discovered he simply sprayed some mold remover and didnâ t treat the house. The subfloor bounced like a trampoline. Broke cabinets that were 100 years old thst I had begged him to take care of. Pissed in a toilet that was sitting in the hall. Charged me for months of a dumpster that was never filled because they never showed up to work but came to ask for money. Iâ ll never make this mistake again! New ! Hurrricane victims, beware. Heâ s a storm chaser that takes, makes promises, but doesnâ t come through. True con artist! I will be suing and have reported him to our insurance commissioner, the police, and the bbb. After reading all these positive reviews, Iâ m really scared for his new victims. He is NOT a good man!!
Response from Branch Reconstruction, LLC
"I worked very closely with this home owner as her insurance didnt cover very much due to the fact her house was in very bad shape before Hurricane Ida. My company NEVER said we were mold certified as we are not. But, the home owner did not want to pay the high pricing provided by remediation companies and also due to the fact that behind the drywall that was in the home was over Tinge and Groove wood. So, we received the proper chemicals from a National Mitigation company to treat all areas that required to be treated. This house flooded from below the framing due to the fact it was a wood frame house (very Old) and there was NO access to get under the house. We supplied and installed new sub flooring throughout the entire home, but areas that were damaged below the main sub floor (before storm) remained soft due to the overall framing of this home. We scraped all the popcorn from ceilings and textured and repainted the ceilings. We removed drywall where needed and in accordance with the Insurance estimate that again was installed over Tong and Groove wood (never seen before) and installed new drywall. We did install the new drywall over the existing baseboard as the current baseboard was attached to the Tonge and groove and not the drywall. The Tonge and Groove wood was not removed. We removed a wall from the kitchen to the living room and also closed in a doorway that was NOT part of the insurance coverage. We installed new Laminate flooring throughout the home (provided by owner) but she was upset as the pattern didnt match what she wanted. The request for draws was based on work or materials needed or completed and for the most part were very small draws considering the amount of work. We repainted the entire home including wall, trim and ceilings after popcorn was removed. I (owner of Branch Reconstruction) at No time got upset and left the job as it was not completed. I was asked to meet at the house (set up) and was greeted by a male friend of the owner who explained he was a contractor and attacked our work. I offered multiple times to repair anything the home owner was not happy with in person and by text and was told NO. So again, I was willing to take care of this customer as I do care about her and her family. Question, if her friend was such a great contractor, Im not sure why he didnt do the work from the start. It is very easy to come in after the fact and attack the contractor. This review that's attacking myself, my company goes way over the line and I recommend the home owner file a complaint with the court as I would welcome to prove my case in any municipality. Due to these attacks I am also considering legal action, but I hope this owner who again I truly do care about and her family contacts me directly and let me know what my company can do to make her happy. If any refund is justified (dont think it is) I will gladly do so to make this customer STOP these personal attacks. But attacking my company that I have worked to build over the past 11 years and most of all attacking me personally is out of line and I will not and cant just sit back and accept this. I recommend anyone reading this, please look at my other Reviews and make up their own mind. As this type of attack is unacceptable. Tim Butler - Owner - Branch Reconstruction LLC"

Branch worked on the restoration of my home from flooding due to Tropical Storm Eta in November 2020. His experience in dealing with estimators and responding to requests for documentation by the Public Adjuster and the flood insurance company were invaluable. The finish work on the walls (mud/tape/texture/paint) was impeccable. Kitchen looks great. Tim was always available by text, cell or email 24/7.

The workers were very professional. Did a great job of keeping dust to a minium! We had walls removed, popcorn ceilings removed, LED pot lights installed new flooring, and 2 bath rooms upgraded. They also installed our new kitchen and island cabinets. We moved the sink from the wall to the island which required cutting the slab to relocate the plumbing. They moved any furniture in the work area and at the end of the day after cleaning up moved the furniture back. We are very pleased with the final results!

Branch communicates better than any contractor I have ever used. As with any large project, there were some errors, but Tim addressed them immediately and to my satisfaction. This is a huge project (hurricane Irma restoration) so the final outcome remains to be seen, but I consider myself lucky to have found Branch.

Major Renovation Multiple Room Service
Branch Reconstruction did restoration for my home after Hurricane Matthew. Tim was absolutely wonderful. The crew did an excellent job. I would like to note that any other issue that arose after service was completed was promptly taken care of, the contractors came back immediately to make it right. They even helped clean up some materials and debris after the storm. I am also going to hire the company to repair the damage after Irma.
