He is great at problem solving, nothing that he can't do. From a complete gut to the finished product. Out of 30 years of flipping houses he is the first contractor to do a great job without ripping me off. The pricing was also very reasonable.

Do not recommend. The first few days were great, they showed up on time and painted the interior of the house (poorly). Garrett then asked for almost the full cost up front ($8400) and not knowing the standard procedure as this is my first renovation project, so I paid the $8400. They started showing up late, if at all. Scratched the paint on the kitchen walls, marked the paint on the kitchen walls, missed spots in the bathroom, got red paint on my fireplace that wasn’t meant to be painted, cut corners, and managed to get paint on almost every socket and light switch in the house. I’m going to have to redo all of the paint after the fact. After two consecutive days of not showing up, I called Garrett who told me he would contact the foreman he hires the subcontractors out of and get back with me. More than 6 hours go by without a word and I tell them I’m going to hire someone else to finish the work. He came by Monday to pick up the tools, told me he would email me an invoice for the materials (which I more than paid for with the work that WASNT finished or will have to be completely redone). Two weeks and I get no invoice. Today, I get a text (the first contact in two weeks) saying “Sorry about yesterday. When can I come by and pick up the check?” When I point out that the work I paid for wasn’t even done and he can take the material fees out of the paint job that wasn’t done properly, he threatened me with legal action. I paid for the labor for a job that was unfinished, was fine with just letting it go but now I’m being threatened with a lawsuit. Don’t hire. Would not recommend.

This business is not his full time business so timing on project was slow and undependable. Workers were also not very skilled as they were not regulars. Many problems with final product and they did not clean as they went and left a mess.
