Back in 2015, I had a company that offered to remediate my basement for $1,600. John came along and was going to do my whole house (basement, two floors and a attic) for $1,200. After he saw my uniform, he asked if I was serving in the Military. When I said yes, he knocked another $200 off. He went everywhere and was so professional. I would TOTALLY hire him again.

I had issues with my landlord trying to get me to pay for the mold removal in our apartment. John came in and tested the mold for free and when he found that the mold was under the apartment not in it, he told the landlord that it was his responsibility not ours. He is amazingly professional and friendly. He is friendly and my children loved watching him as he walked around looking at different areas. I would have him inspect again in a heartbeat if I needed it. I highly recommend him for any mold job you may have.

This is our second job with Breaking the Mold and once again we are very satisfied with the results. John/crew are professional, respectful and hard working and it was the same crew for both projects. I highly recommend this service to clean/remediate water damaged/moldy areas.

John and staff were personable, professional and really know their business. John came out quickly. Did full inspection and probe test of wall and complete area. Results were good. Per my request to satisfy my concerns for my employees who work in this area. He then cut a hole in the wall at floor level up showing me that the wood frame wall and block foundation wall had no mold. John did not charge for the inspection and saved our company money. To my dismay, mold was discovered on an air duct behind a wall in our bathroom during a demo (and a little bit was discovered in the basement). I didn't know who to call and was extremely stressed about how much it would cost to eliminate the mold, so I turned to Home Advisor. There were a handful of pros that were presented for my review after I submitted my information, but one name in particular - - Breaking the Mold - - caught my eye because of the amazing and positive reviews. I left a message for John late in the afternoon and he responded the following day. He informed me he was available the next day to look at and take care of the mold. When John arrived, I showed him the problem areas and he explained to me the chemicals he would be using. He confirmed there were no children in the house since the first chemical he used could be a bit strong (it actually made our house smell like a pool for a bit, which didn't bother me at all). He was careful to ventilate the bathroom while he was spraying and he allowed me to look at the wall after he was done and there was not a bit of mold to be seen. He completed the basement and then sprayed the areas he treated with a hospital grade disinfectant. John's prices are EXTREMELY affordable. I will gladly recommend him to anyone I know who is having issues with mold. I'm so grateful he helped us out. Thank you John!

STOP.....LOOK NO MORE. JOHN IS THE CONSCIENTIOUS, TRUSTWORTHY PROFESSIONAL YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!!! I I. I interviewed 2 mold companies and received their estimates by mail one week later. John called, and described how he would complete the job and came over the next day and gave me a beyond reasonable estimate. Other companies were way out of line in their cost ...like thousands of dollars! I also had to wait a week for the estimates to arrive by mail. John called me and arrived the next day. He confirmed the cause for the mold in my basement and gave me an estimate to resolve the problem for good and guaranteed his work after the chemical treatment. He followed through with the plan he previously explained to me. His plan and completed the job within 2 days. He replaced the downspouts that caused the mold inside the basement. Other companies wanted to throw away the wood trim and John saved it all from the harmful effects of the mold. He did a professional job and did what he said he was going to do and made sure to clean the area he worked in. I also had other fix it things that needed to be done and John stayed to make those repairs as well You don’t want anyone else......YOU NEED JOHN TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROBLEM!!! I would hire him back in a minute and whole heartedly recommend him to others. He wants you to be satisfied with his workmanship and take care of your home.

He also has a professional demeanor and knows the value of a dollar. I would highly recommend John for any project for which he is hired. I called one of the big companies to take care of a mold problem and their price was $8300. John charged me approximately 1/7 of what The big bad company wanted to charge me.

John is amazing. He saved me so much money. Another "mold pro" gave me an estimate that was 3 times his for the exact same work. I also had other things that needed to be done, and he took care of those things as well! He even sent me before and after photos since I had never actually seen the mold in my crawlspace. I trust him to be in my home alone with no worries. I will be saving his number and calling him on pretty much anything before I call anyone else from now on.
