I only asked them to cut down 1 tree but they noticed a few others that also needed to be cut down so I spent more money than I anticipated. Aside from that, they did a good job.

They arrived within the date/time specified. Removed three trees and grounded the stumps. Cleaned area and left within 1.5 hours.

He came out to give an estimate. Then we scheduled a time for him to come out and remove the tree. He missed that date and did not call until a week later. He asked if he could do the work the next day. I said yes. He did not show up or call again. He called again a couple days ago and I told him I did not want to work with him.

I will not be using real names outside of the company to protect myself and my family from any future repercussions by the company. TL: DR - Protect yourself by getting everything in writing. If there are any changes, get it in writing. Do not ever feel pressured to do something you are not comfortable with financially or in general. Over the past year or so, we have had tornadoes and heavy winds, and rain in our area. This has caused multiple trees to fall on our house, and our family car, and even torn down power lines. Our family decided it was time to get someone to come out and look at the trees that fell and others that might fall. My family called Brennan Tree Service. They came and looked over our property, saying there were approx 7 trees that were in various degrees of dying or dead, and posed danger to our house and property. So we agreed to have them cut the trees. They did do all they were asked to cut down and were careful in chaining and bringing the pieces to the ground. But other things happened in the first encounter. Here is what happened: 1. While cutting the trees, their heavy machines created 1-2 inch divots in our ground, deep enough that you could twist your ankle in. Such divots and holes are all over our property, covered by wood chips and fallen leaves. They used nothing to protect the ground (we had another company come at a different time for a tree that put large pieces of wood like a platform under their chippers stand, protecting the ground). I have already twisted my ankle a few times from them. 2. One of the workers asked to place 3 logs on the side of our property, as they needed space to continue cutting the trees. Our family agreed. But the other workers felt it was an agreement to place ALL of the cut logs on our property. See my end note on what came of that event. 3. They used a chipper to cut up branches and small things. Not only did we have wood chips ALL over our property because they did not use the chipper in one spot. EDIT: I found out my family did ask for the wood chip piles left, but will keep the info about the mess on our property. 4. There was poor communication between groups of workers and higher up. We do not know if it is a language barrier, or they just did not talk to each other because when my family called, many of the workers had no idea what was going on, even though they were at our property. This happened on the job at our house as well as at the company center. Now a month or so later, a neighbor on the street above flipped a house. They needed to connect to the sewer/water pipe that is at the end of our property, the part of our property where Brennan Tree Service placed 33 pine logs! So my family had to contact Brennan Tree Service to get the logs removed. We had to pay 1.5k to move them. Logs my family never agreed to have placed there, because our neighbor could not access the sewer/water plate. When my family asked why Brennan Tree Service left the pine logs, we were told that they were shorter than what they should take away with their truck. The thing is, their company CUT THEM short and left them there. So the size was INTENTIONAL. And the last thing they did, happened today, where they told my family (while they were taking away the 33 pine logs THEY left), that there were 3 or 4 more trees we REALLY should get taken care of. It would be 7k but they will cut them for 4k. I had to talk my family out of jumping and doing it. Why all of a sudden did Brennan Tree Service say it NOW when they were doing another job, instead of the month or 2 ago when they were here? My family is upset and feels like we were taken advantage of, especially on how Brennan Tree Service spoke to my family, asking to do little favors and doing things not in the written contract. And because of my father.

I originally had a very large Ash Tree in my backyard that was falling apart. I spoke to Mr. Brennan about a week before they did the work and he gave me a very competitive price. They were very neat and tidy when it came to cleaning up afterwards.They also were very considerate of my neighbors property who I was concerned about. I would strongly recommend Brennan Tree Service to anyone who needs tree removal done on their property. They were very nice to work with for this project.
