This was a very expensive lesson. The owner, Ali, talked a good talk, but the end result was horrible. I hired BridgeCity Construction, LLC to remodel my garage, which included dry wall, painting, and epoxy flooring. I was quoted a price that was below my usual contractor, and decided to take a chance. BIG MISTAKE! The work was supposed to take 3 weeks and ended up taking almost 2 months for a 20X20 garage space. They came in on a Sunday afternoon and removed everything from my garage into my backyard and put a tarp over it, brought in the dry wall and other materials needed, and showed up to work at 8am the next day. I was thinking, wow, efficient! The drywall installation was horrible! It was pieced together like a jigsaw puzzle, super messy. Why there were so many little pieces I have no idea. They seemed to be just cutting random pieces and slapping them up there leaving huge gaps. I called Ali after a few days and he came right over to see the mess. Thankfully, that person was replaced with two guys who got the job done. Painting was a nightmare. They spilled paint all over my brand new ladder that they didn't even attempt to clean, and should have had their own ladder anyway. They also took one of my chairs, used it to stand on, spilled paint all over it, and put a hole in it! Ok, the painting is done, but they also painted the light switches and parts of the garage door. It's kind of streaky in parts, but now I just want them done and gone. Next is the floor...a complete disaster! It was horrible! One part was so bad I can't even describe it. A layer of thick goo ran outside of the garage onto the pavement, and the remnants of it is still there. I am convinced they had never done an epoxy floor before. It was sloppy and extremely unprofessional. I gave the floor an entire week to dry before putting my car in the garage. Of course the floor started peeling immediately. I left messages but never even got a response...no surprise there. I ended up contacting another company that laughed when he saw my awful, pitiful, garage floor then removed the crappy one, and redid it, and it looks amazing! There was a top coat that should have been added that wasn't. How could BridgeCity not know that? That brings us to the gutter that was installed incorrectly and still leaks. Mind you, I never had a gutter there and never got water in the garage before, go figure. Now for the pavement debacle; I had a portion of the backyard cemented so I can park my car back there. These crazies had an entire ridiculously heavy cement truck drive up my driveway to dispense the cement. I thought it would be poured directly in the space but no, it was poured into wheelbarrows the dumped. Now that's fine but it would have been easier and better to roll the wheelbarrows up the driveway from the street because not only did that truck crack my existing driveway pavement, but it broke a branch off of my tree! This company doesn't take pride in their work or think things through when attempting to execute plans. This entire job was a disaster! By the way, the cement has warped, and those knuckleheads spray painted (very poorly) the black rubber parts of my garage door for reasons I still don't understand, but it looks ridiculous. I know they're covering up something else they botched. Oh, and before I forget, the owner came over the night before the job was due to be (badly) completed and told me that it's their company's policy to get full payment before completion. Lord have mercy. There's a lot more I can say but I don't have enough characters left. Luckily this site doesn't allow pictures because you readers would be cracking up laughing. I will be posting this same review however, with pictures on Yelp and Google. Save yourself some time and definitely some money, as well as some serious aggravation, and not hire BridgeCity Construction!
