These guys are good. I've heard so much bad news about roofing companies. They should all be licensed but that's another story. I purchased the Hail Proof shingles at the recomendation of the owner and my Home Insurance savings will pay for it in 2 yrs. Bright Top wasn't my lowest bidder for my roofing job, but he was the most helpful and offered different solutions for fixing my roof. He told me in detail what was needed, how it would be fixed and the time it would take. I really like that he brought his main worker to see what repairs were needed so there was no communication problem. Richard was on-site to oversee the progress and help with the repairs. His crew was awesome and cleaned up thoroughly each day which is a huge plus for me. I highly recommend Bright Top to everyone.

On the surface, he is one of the nicest people you will meet, and will have you believing that his work is not only top notch, and if for any reason you are not satisfied, he will prompty fix it. After all his work Is backed by a 10 year leak, and 25 or lifetime roof guarantee. A couple of months ago it started raining, and I called Bright Top Roofing to look at a leak on the patio , and was told on several occasions that someone would look at it. No one has ever showed up to fix the leak. On top of that, I recently discovered that the roofers installed shingles on top of rotten wood.

"I sent techs to this property on 3 different occasions. 1st We could not locate a leak; 2nd It started raining while the tech was there & located the leak, but it was raining so it could not be corrected then; 3rd; I drove from Dallas with my head-tech because Mr. Dittman notified me that we had shingled over rotten decking. That really hit a nerve;we NEVER shingle over rotten decking. On arrival we imm. started removing shingles only to find that the decking was fine no water damage at all. The fascia, which is not part of the roof but part of the siding, was rotten because whomever installed the gutters hadn't installed nec.gutter.apron"

Bright Top Roofing was not my lowest bid. I went with this company because Richard answered all my questions and could tell me what he would do and why. Now that they have completed their work, I must say that I am very happy that I chose them. The roof was done correctly (I watched) WITHOUT DESTROYING OTHER THINGS and they did NOT leave a mess behind. Richard did not cover over other contractors mistakes. He saw that EVERYTHING pertaining to the roof was done correctly. I would recommend this company to anyone especially those who have had questionable work done in the past.

Great price (53% less than first bid I received), very friendly, but had to make 2 return trips to make roof compliant with windstorm. A little frustrating since I had an insurance renewal deadline. Overall, I am very satisfied and would use Bright Top again.

"This house was litterly over a hundred years old and very poorly maintained. The homeowner was just trying to stop all of the leaks. It needed to be redecked as it still had original 1x6 decking that was rotten due to age rather than moisture. he did not want to deck it because of expense. We had a very difficult time getting nails to hold in the old decking and the state inspector under stood and was nice enough to let us think out side of the box and together we got it to pass."

They need to make sure to NOT pay until EVERYTHING is complete or you will never get this contractor/roofer back out to finish the job. No matter how nice this owner is and speaks to you, don't pay till EVERYTHING is done to satisfaction because even though they say they will come back out to finish up and do anuy touch ups etc... they NEVER do so make sure all you asked for is completed before you pay them in full.

"Mr. A�s roof was installed & passed a final inspection from State of Texas Engineers & he personally inspected the project before he paid. I am a professional & never take a cent from a customer until the job is completed. He wanted to add more work to his project at no additional charge & I am sorry if he is unhappy, but I never heard from him again. I would�ve been glad to come out, but I got no response. I have been a contractor for HomeAdvisor since 2008 with a perfect record as you can see from all my previous reviews, I value my customers & their satisfaction--this rating NOT how I do business."
