"Dear Mr. S.[Consumer name withheld at their request], When pricing out a deck, we take into account the square footage of the all elements that need materials. For your project, that included the deck, the stairs, and enclosing the entire deck plus stairs. Also included were railings and creating a door for storage access. Your above calculation includes the horizontal surface area of the deck only (50% of entire project). Tim received an email from you on 7/23/19 which stated your dissatisfaction with his quote. He called you to discuss your concerns. He listened to your concerns and when he attempted to discuss them with you, the call was disconnected. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please let us know. When giving quotes, we usually aren't the cheapest option. But we're a company that, for over 64 years, has been serving Chicagoland and treating our customers with respect. We're reliable, we do great work, and we can be counted on to do the right thing. We don't inflate our prices, we earn them. I'm sorry you were unhappy with the quote we gave, but we believe the price was fair.
