Brixos is the epitome of overpromise and underdeliver, and I now know why contractors sometimes get a bad wrap. They completed the project way past schedule and overbudget. Despite the proposal being all-inclusive, Brixos tried to come after me for an additional almost $10,000 (an extra 30% of the original proposal total) after they completed the project in 7x the amount of time promised. When I first met with the Brixos team, I was impressed. They presented themselves as professional, driven, and competent. Despite being on the higher-end of the bids I received, I ended up choosing them because of their professionalism with a high-degree of confidence that they would perform. I was wrong. They completed the project 5.5 months late. The proposal was submitted with an estimated completion time of 25 days. The project took over 6 months. They tried to blame the permitting office, but the permitting took less than 2 months. Had they been more competent and/or honest, they would have accounted for any of these delays in their timeline. In fact, it took them a full 30 days just to submit the initial permit to the permitting office (they would have been late even if the permit only took 1 minute to be approved). They totally mismanaged the permitting process. The permit was sent back for corrections several times for the same reason. Upon doing some research on the individual submitting the permit, I found that they were not using a reputable permit runner, but a college student who does it in his spare time. With the amount of money I spent, you would expect them to hire an experienced permit manager who wouldnâ t struggle to complete simple corrections. The cherry on top was when Brixos missed 5 different inspection appointments. They refused to do some of the work that they drew in the floorplans/proposal because they decided it was too much work. The work they did was sloppyâ drywall not set straight, spray/paint on the light switches because they were too lazy to take them off prior to painting, stained grout â the list goes on and on. I had to fight them tooth and nail to fix each of these issues. The most exciting part was when they tried to come after me for an extra 30% on the project despite the DIY-level work and total mismanagement of the project, forcing me to hire an attorney to help me protect myself. I would highly-recommend that everyone think twice before using Brixos. Maybe for a small (no permit) project, they would do an OK job, but they just do not take pride in their work. While some of the people there are quite helpful and kind, there were others who were rude, condescending, and unpleasant. At least I think some of these other reviews are written by employees/management within the company. Be cautious about trusting these few 5-star reviews.

They did patio and landscape work for me. This is the best company I have ever used for home improvement and landscaping. They went far and beyond my expectations. The owner and staff were extremely ethical and professional. Very affordable and will work within your budget. They stayed in constant contact and followed up on the plans, progress of the project, and they work with you in every way. I wouldnt use anyone else.
