Why the 19-Foot Discrepancy Happened Intentional Overcharging (Fraud/Padding): Contractors sometimes pad material lists to increase profit margins, assuming the homeowner will never climb a ladder to check the work. Why This Is Not Just a "Mistake" A foot or two of variance is normal for material waste and cutting. A 118% error (charging for 35 feet instead of 16 feet) is a systemic failure. The fact that they did not correct the bill until you physically caught them on the roof strongly points toward deceptive business practices rather than an honest oversight.

"Alvergie, your response is SO unfair. We strongly disagree with the accusation that we intentionally overcharged or ?padded? this job. That simply is not what occurred. During the project, additional work was needed, and the customer approved that additional work in writing via text message. We have those messages. In fact, we installed additional wood beyond what the customer was ultimately charged for. The dispute arose when the customer did not pay the full amount owed for the work she had agreed to. We held her to the agreement, and unfortunately, this review followed. We take accusations of fraud very seriously. We have documentation of the work performed, the materials used, the invoices, and the customer's written authorization for the additional work. We stand behind our work and our business practices, and the documentation clearly shows what actually occurred."

They were professional, kind, and thorough installing 150 ft of stainless steel mesh gutter covers. I selected them from several contractors because of their 5 star reviews and their many years of experience. They also stayed in touch after the job is complete to ensure 100% satisfaction. They even came back out when one of the downspouts wasn't draining properly and rectified the problem with innovative solution. When you have a gutter problem, you need look no further than these experts!
