Reviews
Write a ReviewHe's really good on Time thorough cleans up makes certain it works just a great contractor I'm probly going to hire his Co. To build me a new house
What we thought we found was a high quality contractor for some home projects, what we ended up with is criminal. The job was simple and clear . It was a vanity, mirror, and light exchange. The vanity was the same dimensions except for an inch shorter in height. The bathroom was remodeled before we purchased the home. It just didnâ t match the style. The estimate seemed high at 3k. But he said he could start it the next business day. The work stretched 7 days. 2 of which were just stopping by to apply a new layer mud on the 4â x 4â section that was removed behind the prior mirror. He said they had to replace the junction box behind it that fed the two light approximately 3ft from the junction. The legs on the new vanity were straight not tampered in like the prior so they had to trim the kick board tile on both sides about an inch. The shelf in the new vanity needed a circular cutout for the drain pipe. Nothing was out of the norm or added significant work to justify an over 300% final bill of 9.8k. Never did he indicate this was going over an already high estimate. It is shocking and insulting he thought they were pushovers. I actually have a stepfather thatâ s a state trooper turned contractor for a large, reputable construction company in Saratoga Springs. I didnâ t want to bother him with this simple job. Plus this change is in the guest bathroom that he and my mother use when they visit. It wouldâ ve been a surprise for them. Our home improvement experience is robust. We completely restored a historic house in CT and remodeled a home in NM. We always relied on contractors for anything with electrical and plumbing. Never did we experience someone that tried to take advantage of the situation. We had the same job type done before. It was clear cut. Aside from being thoroughly insulted, I was hoping we couldâ ve asked them to do other, larger projects; kitchen, master bathroom, and office. Thatâ s all off the table now. It also takes away from the nice work his two workers did. **Please use this business with caution.** We asked for an itemized bill that weâ re going to review with my step father. Btw- Iâ m not a type of person to write negative reviews. I am a person that always supports small businesses when possible.
I would definitely recommend it.
Todd was very professional and got back to me quickly with a quote and answered any questions. He did not try to sell me something I did not need and was great to work with. I would recommend BuildRight and Todd again and to anyone looking for quality work
