Excellent job! I hired them to do some tile work for us and it came out beautifully! Definitely check out the showroom when you at hiring them for a project, they have a vast selection. Customer service was excellent the entire project.

They were quick to respond to my post and continued to be so throughout the project. Not sure if this is the case for all their work, but for my job, Builders Custom Flooring was actually the retailer of flooring (and wall) covering materials and they work with independent installers to do the actual work. I was very impressed with the skill of the contractor they hired for my job and would use them again if the need arises.

They say dustless! Not true, a little dust would be fine - but a lot of dust through out the house, not good! It has been a week since completed and still haven't heard from them to see how job went ! But got a call them next morning from billing wanting the balance of the money due. To me very poor customer relations!

I was misinformed with how the process is done. Was not informed about getting a permit till last minute. Did not end up using your company and ended up using someone else. Someone told him that it was not their job to inform him about getting a permit or whatnot to get the job done.

Dan came out to our house 3 times and we signed a agreed upon estimate, gave $4,000 down. When he came out the third time the estimate changed from $8,200 to $11,000, Dan stated "I measured wrong".

"I actually came out to his home four times. Once to measure. Once to collect a deposit. I also came out to inspect the job site after they cleared the construction debris.The construction was not even close to minimum requirements needed for the travertine installation. The extra work needed along with a mistake on my behalf made the project unattractive financially. It is our company policy to absorb mistakes but for the first time in twenty-seven years we were unable to do so. The fourth time I was at his home was to promptly return his $4000.00 cash deposit so he could hire another company."

Tile installation required door trim which was not included in the original quote but was talked about during consultation. Carpet finish was required after installation which I did not have a problem with but the cost was not quoted prior to billing.

Sanding part of job went very well, but we're not totally satisfied wit final finish. Best way to describe the issue is there seems to be small particles of debris perhaps from finish applicator, causing litle bumps and can be seen at certain angles and lighting. This was pointed out to them; crew came back and applied another coat of finish, the finish still isn't top quality. There also seems to be prevailing odor weeks after application.

"Customer purchased a home with wood flooring that needed a lot of work. We were able to sand all the defects out of the floor, but the customer did not want to keep the heat turned up. They were informed that the house needs to be heated, but still turned down the heat."

Overall okay experience, Suprise that Dan never showed up to reveiw progress and quality of job. Certain services promised never happened, like removal of moldings. It appear crew was interested in time save methods. Lots of dust following completion, don't know if this is normal or not but we had spend a lot of time cleaning dust debri after they left.
